Few Americans are being politically targeted more than those who identify as transgender, a different gender than the one assigned at birth, or simply by choosing no gender at all.
Transgender people seem like easy targets when you look at the sheer volume of legislative attempts to restrict or ban their actions. However, when you put it to the American people, they are far more likely to be accepting, especially if the person in question knows someone who is transgender.
Even before the shooting in Nashville, Tenn., allegedly by someone who identified as transgender, there have been political attempts to target these Americans. Some may claim religious reasons, but others in politics see this as an excellent “wedge” issue, betting that most Americans find transgender folks to be abhorrent.
Some who never cared much for women’s sports before suddenly began championing it, to “protect girls” from athletes who once were boys. Perhaps it could be spun as a library book issue (back to banning) or a bathroom concern, or even empowering those to block treatments, initially for minors, though we’ve seen states that up those bans well past the minor age.

First off, let’s challenge, every time, this notion that sex is ‘assigned’ at birth. It is just DOCUMENTED from OBSERVATION.
I get tired of the left controlling the narrative. It’s the same with COVID ‘vaccine’ - I refuse to call it that, clearly, anything that requires you to keep getting ‘boosters’ isn’t anything I’d call a ‘vaccine’...yet we keep using the name - enabling the propaganda narrative ‘anti-vaxer!’.

That’s already happened. The woman he beat the hell out of said she’d never been hit that hard in her life.
It is evil and going along with it doesn’t help her. I think our ‘progressive’ society drives people toward mental illness and people find various avenues of attention-seeking because of it, the ‘trans’ issue being one of them.
The industry makes huge bucks from enabling it. Helping her would cut off the funding and the control. Evil is correct.

Nonsense. People believe in treating the mentally ill politely, which is a far cry from having the government enforce the “right” to be mentally ill.
This is America. They can be whatever, but do not expect me to join in the lie about your biological sex. You cannot choose.
A big man in our senior complex was a cross-dresser, and liked to chat up the good-looking men here, especially a man I often went to dinner with. Cross-dresser was from one of the town’s wealthiest families, but they’d disowned him and wouldn’t let his urn of ashes be placed in the family crypt.
When he died, a woman I consider a friend told me cross-dresser was extremely intelligent, had a fabulous collection of books that she donated to the library on his behalf.
The guy was scary but sad too. Trannies seem to be just plain crazy.
personally, is support zero SPECIAL rights for anyone ... everyone should be treated same from a legal perspective ... all speech should be treated the same, except perhaps for advocating killing or maiming people ...
My next sis has a homo son, neither like it, But accept him for what he is, and he is not part of the radicals, just quiet about it. She needs his help as her husband has an advancing genetic Nuelogical disorder, ready for a wheelchair. He passed to his grandson, which manifested at birth.

I have known one for over 60 years from when he was about 12. Went from being a squirrelly odd ball spoiled boy to being a castrated squirelly odd ball spoiled adult man pretending to be a female.

One of two trans people I knew of works in a post office (USPS). I am a friend of his landlady, who kicked him out after witnessing him sunbathing wearing a two-piece bathing suit!
The other was “Mike”, an ex-Marine, who died about 2015 at 60. He wore long dresses, and always had a new, fully-equipped, large van with an elevator to handle his wheelchair. I don’t know why the wheelchair was needed, but it went everywhere.
Otherwise, the late Michelle Wisniewski was known for her photographs of Florida butterflies.
I’ve had two students who were born female but were “transitioning” to become male. I had to be careful not to say anything critical of their choice or my job might have been in jeopardy. Administrators always seem to be the most “woke” people on campus. It wouldn’t have done any good to tell them that they were nuts—I wouldn’t have changed their minds.
I also support rights of autistic kids. But, I would not OK the damage to normal kids in order to make more autistic ones.
Gender Dysphoria is a sickness, not a life style.
I don’t hear of any actual “targeting” of TGs except when men try to take over women’s sports. TGs are targeting Christians and normal folk in general. No normies are posting KILL TGs on social media. Lots of TGs are posting kill Christians and kill those who don’t approve. Their paranoia is unbounded and stems from the fact that they are miserable and need someone to take it out on.
