"This is why I cry, I suppose, when I see the faces of the two officers. These officers are there for me, and for you, just as we had always wanted to believe. We believed that the police exist to serve and protect us, not The Narrative. Today, they did that, without hesitation or apology. And we were allowed to see it play out."

Those cops should be given the highest award for bravery. I bet when the smoke clears they’ll be invited to Mar a Largo.
Mar a Largo
LOL Thats what Mark Levine calls it too.
That was a good shoot by those heroic officers. She/He/It kept moving on the floor and reaching for the gun, so they pumped additional rounds into her/him/it until movement ceased.
The actions of the officers no doubt prevented more deaths of innocent people. They should be praised and get medals.
And paint that lil freaks picture on the side of the patrol car
Compare and contrast with what happened in Uvalde, Texas where is was see your duty and have a light chat about your vacation plans.
In my heart, I wish the media would not highlight their names and photos. Not because I don’t love what they did - I do - but out of respect for their professionalism and safety of themselves and their families. Honors within the PD by all means.
Medals are nice I suppose. A bonus or significant financial award would be better.
The beat cops got there before the “experts” showed up to ensure a maximum death toll of innocents. Good on those quick reacting officers.
Still, O.J. was set up.
Make them instructors at home and anywhere else in the country that desires men of action instead of the Uvalde type of pussies who arrest true men that wanted to get in that school and stop the murders.
“Make them instructors....”
Even if they don’t want to be? Cops like this very likely just love being cops and the fact they’re so good at it shows.
Case in point: Author Joseph Wambaugh, formerly a Sgt detective on the LAPD, ultimately resigned because he couldn’t stand what he called the “gee whiz” treatment he kept getting both on the street and in the department. His success as an author notwithstanding, he wanted to be a cop doing his job.
I don’t want to deny these men their just desserts, but would like to see them able to function effectively in the job they love .
Textbook shooting. Don’t shoot to kill or to wound (a la buffoon “shoot ‘em in the leg’ biden). Shoot to stop the threat.
In this case, I would offer it to them and let them decide what they'd prefer to do. Considering the pussies in Uvalde, it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of them decided it would be better for everyone if he taught others how to do the job they've signed up for properly.
