Nashville Police have this morning released bodycam footage from yesterday's school shooting which left six people dead, including three nine-year-old children.
The footage shows heroic police officer Rex Englebert taking shooter Audrey Hale out within five minutes of arriving at the school, and 14 minutes after the first 911 call came in.
Hale was standing in front of a large window on a second floor atrium of The Covenant School by the time police entered the building.
When they arrived at the scene, a woman standing outside the school directed the officers on where to go.
A panicked male staff member was seen leaning on a tree. He handed Englebert the key he needed to gain access to the school.
One by one, the cops search classrooms looking for the shooter, before climbing a stairwell to the second floor.
That is where they located her in an atrium, standing in front of a large window. She was determined to die and fired at the cops, but was immediately struck down.
Englebert fired the first four shots using his service rifle. Upon approach, Officer Michael Collazo, fired another four shots from his weapon.
By the time police arrived, Hale had already shot three students and three teachers.
The transgender shooter - who was born female but often went by 'Aiden' and used 'he/him' pronouns - harbored a 'resentment' about having to attend the school as a child herself.
She shot and killed head teacher Katherine Koonce in the hallway in an 'assassination' style killing, in addition to shooting church custodian Mike Hill and substitute teacher Cynthia Peak.

No, she was born female, had female chromosomes and plumbing.
She “identified” as male and used “he/him” pronouns, as if using different pronouns can change your genetic structure.

The media has been talking about how rare it is for a female to commit a mass murder, but she identified as a male. Apparently the pronoun thing only applies sometimes, and sometimes it doesn’t. Must be nice to live in a world where reality is fluid and totally malleable.
Good job, men. Shoot ‘em till they’re dead.
I watched the video over and over.
I counted at least 18 times I heard the officers firing to take her down.
Next time maybe they should use a bazooka?

Her mother told the reporter that she had just lost her daughter. Maybe that is where this shooter’s anger came from. I heard Laura Ingram mention the fact so,e of the medications that they give people to try to change their gender characteristics are known to cause mental illness. Not only is that a good reason to ban using the drugs on minors, it is a good reason to question gun ownership of trans people.
Unlike Uvalde, they went in with what they had.
Great police work, but a further negative aspect of the entire event is that the psycho killer was seeking a suicide by cop based on recent communications sent to an acquaintance. She got what she wanted and took six innocents with her.

the key, to me, is preventing the entry into these buildings. Theres gotta be a way of hardening, or making the perimeter the issue...once they get inside, geez, can do alot of damage.
Looked to 6-8 in this stack.
They took time clearing the first floor, before going to 2nd floor where the were blocked by a locked door and had to find another way up. Didn't they still have the keys they used to get in?
Why not have breaching tools with you?
A teacher, outside, told them where the shooter was, but of course, they had to clear the first floor, because the shooter may have moved or there could be more than one.
Why not have a second stack clear the first floor while the other went to the second?
Don't know if it would have saved anyone and, of course, this is my arm chair quarterbacking and I have no experience in such matters, so take this with a tablespoon of salt.
That said, the officers didn't dither, they were organized, moved fast, were fearless and didn't hesitate to end the threat.
They are tlo be commended.

Put these officers up against Uvalde any day. These officers saved lives and ended the situation pronto.
