@RepThomasMassie
I was there on Sunday. It was obvious to anyone who dared to ask questions that Fauci was a fraud and Trump should have fired him. At a minimum Trump should have quit inviting him to the meetings and press conferences, but he did not.
RE:

Has @RepThomasMassie ever heard of the terms “Monday morning quarterbacking” or “hindsight is 20/20”? We all trusted Dr. Fauci back then. What else was the President supposed to do in real time?
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Firstly, Fauci was absolutely evil every step of his career. He was that unnamed bad guy in the Dallas Buyers Club, for instance. He kept the bath houses open in San Francisco (and then justified his response to Covid by insisting he’d never make that mistake again). And basically, he broke the NHS
I FORGIVE TRUMP FOR NOT KNOWING THIS.
Fauci’s was the sort of job you understand only when civilization depend on it. Until then, he’s just another of thousands of bureaucrats in the swamp.
But when Fauci had been acting like god-emperor publicly dissing Trump... but then found himself in the situation of “YOU HAD ONE JOB!!!” The U.S. had no testing supplies, meaning no contract tracing would be possible. And when we did get supplies, they didn’t work.
I’ve had Trump folks defend this saying the tests were only Chinese anyway; they didn’t work, yada yada yada. Right. All the more reason to fire Fauci.
Thomas Massie was/is right.
>> Imagine if Trump did fire him. The MSM and RATs would be outraged and call for his impeachment. Again. <<
And this is why I’d never vote for Trump in a primary again. EVERY SINGLE TIME Trump needed to protect America from tyrannical overlords, we get YOUR answer. Trump never had the credibility to stand up to the tyrants. And just when he could be regaining that credibility, he shits it away making the most unbelievable, pathetically stupid attacks on DeSantis.
Admitting you’re wrong without accepting any consequences for what you did wrong is the mark of a craven, calculating @sshole. If DeSantis REALLY thinks he was wrong, he should either resign or jump off a bridge.
The government response to the COVID hysteria was a disaster, but I would have a hard time criticizing Trump for much of anything. He had the same assessment of COVID that I did, and he did pretty much what I would have done in the same position.
“If DeSantis REALLY thinks he was wrong, he should either resign or jump off a bridge.”
Have you taken the appropriate(proportional to your error) action when you were wrong?
Don’t misunderstand I’m not defending the DeSantis. I was just wondering if you live by the rules you’ve put down for others.
Not only did he not fire Fauci and Birx, he actually awarded them with Presidential Commendations!
If so, then shame on Trump.
If not, why not?
But Massie, should know that getting rid of Fauci, who was a member of the Federal workforce, not an appointee, would not have been an easy employee to fire.
Trump could not have fired Fauci.
The serious nature is my work also makes me understand that there is an enormous distinction between making a mistake and disregarding the basic standards of my profession. I have occasionally made a minor mistake in my work. I’ve never violated the standards of practice in my profession.
If I was in DeSantis’ shoes, I would have resigned before the 4th of July in 2020.
Massie is completely a paper tiger. He talks big but actually does nothing. The left is not afraid of him. This is why he is all in for his support of Ron DeSantis. Another guy that is all talk and will change absolutely nothing in D.C.
Also, Massie certified a fraudulent election and should get his walking papers if there is any justice.
Nothing more than armchair quarterbacking....sure in hindsight.
Mr Massie needs to learn the game of chess - brilliant move!!!
This has to be one of the most disingenuous posts Ive ever seen here. You knew nothing about Fauci in Jan 2020... lying hypocrite.
“Don” has done more for this country in his 3 precovid years than any other President in the last 40 years. Get a grip.
Trump fed the swamp?... hes spent 7 years being attacked by and fighting the swamp. You think Trump has allegiance to the folks who impeached him twice? To this day he is still their public enemy number one. Guess he doesnt get a pass for feeding them.
The extent of the lies and deceit by Fauxi, Birx, and other psychopathic government employees are still being uncovered.
Trump has gotten a huge education in the last 8 years in how Washington really works, and hopefully, he learned something. As Harry Truman’s wife Bess said, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.” This time around, he should get a few more dogs, and Tweet less. He should talk less and do more, and as Teddy R. said, “Walk softly and carry a tree trunk to swing, and swing it frequently.”
Yeah. If Trump had fired Fauci he would have been impeached on the spot. Ridiculous second guessing by someone who faces no consequences.
Fauci was well known as far back as the 1980s when he was in the spotlight
“fighting the AIDS epidemic” and a darling of the media even then. He was an institution in Washington. Everyone knew who Fauci was and respected him as a minor god.
