Classified as a megabat, these flying foxes can weigh up to three pounds with a wingspan of up to five and a half feet.

This article Are Flying Foxes Really Primates? compares some features of very large fruit bats i.e. Foxbats with primates and suggests they do not belong with the true bats but rather in the Primate tree.
