Classified as a megabat, these flying foxes can weigh up to three pounds with a wingspan of up to five and a half feet. 
Still, anyone would probably jump if they turned the corner and saw this bat snoozing in their garage. Luckily, giant golden-crowned flying foxes really have no interest in humans. Their diet primarily consists of figs and leaves.

    I saw lots of these flying foxes in Australia. They roost in large flocks and create and incredible mess. They also carry a disease which is fatal to horses. 
 Of course, the Australian government protects them.
