The Wire star Lance Reddick has died aged 60 - just days after failing to turn up to a premiere in New York.

Reddick - who played Cedric Daniels in the hit crime series - died from 'suddenly' and from natural causes,' his agent Mia Hansen said.

'Lance will be greatly missed. Please respect his family’s privacy at this time,' Hansen said in a statement.

Tributes poured in for the 'incredibly talented' actor after his body was reportedly discovered in his home in Studio City, California at 9.30am on Friday.

Just yesterday he uploaded a photo of himself curled up with his three dogs at home in an Instagram promotional post about Hard Rock hotels and National Puppy Day.

Reddick was in the middle of a promotional tour for his franchise John Wick in which he starred as the concierge Charon

On Wednesday evening he was due to attend a premiere for Wick 4 alongside co-star Keanu Reaves but failed to turn up. Reddick did not explain his absence

Crap. I know zip about him but liked him as an actor as Christian DeVille in Corporate. Very excellent likeable villain type.

I’m in the same boat. I know nothing about him personally but I’ve always appreciated his acting. Very talented.

“No one dies of natural causes at 60”.

What a silly statement. Yes they do. Whether or not it’s true in this particular case I’m skeptical.

There are certain hereditary lines where severe heart disease or cancer runs in the family. Many who inheirit that ‘faulty’ condition don’t last very long after 35.
Some of those conditions are often treatable with today’s science.
This is one reason DNA research has become so commonly done, especially for those who tend to be natural worriers.

A very small percentage got the booster shots. It interesting to me that antivaxxers never provide proof that these people really got the vaccine. A portion of the population didn’t get the vaccine. You guys act like 100 percent did.

He was in a couple episodes of The Blacklist, playing The Cowboy. Very interesting presence... 60 is too young.

“””It interesting to me that antivaxxers never provide proof that these people really got the vaccine.”””

People would be more than happy to provide proof to you if the data as to when a dead person was vaxxed or not was public information.

Thus far, all that is public is that a supposed healthy person died suddenly.

Which then begs the obvious question: Was the person who suddenly died VAXXED????????

He was always so smug on camera that it was easy to just hate him. I wonder if type actors are true to form, and that is what makes them successful in that particular type of role.

Thanks for the rec on the ‘Bosch’ series. I was wondering if they’d ever make those novels (I have read them all!) into a series.

RIP, Mr, Reddick.

He was amazing in the Bosch series. I really liked him. He was quite an accomplished musician as well. Sad to see him go.
