I’ve been on that beach. Swam in the ocean. I figure I have better odds of winning the Powerball than getting eaten by a great white shark. I’ve seen plenty of those what i call sand sharks chasing minnows or small fish near the shore, especially at night.

Considering how close Orange Beach is to Pensacola, where shark sightings are pretty common, it surprises me that this is the first Great White encounter.
