I’ve been on that beach. Swam in the ocean. I figure I have better odds of winning the Powerball than getting eaten by a great white shark. I’ve seen plenty of those what i call sand sharks chasing minnows or small fish near the shore, especially at night.

You’d be surprised what swims close to many beaches. I used to do a lot of surf fishing. It’s very restful and uneventful until it’s not.

My wife and I were on that beach when a TV reporter was doing a remote taping. We asked what the news was and it was Sharks in the water. This was in 2002. We had already left the water but this was not a good experience. It seemed that fish had moveed into shore possibly to avoid the Sharks whic h followed them in.

Bull sharks are the ones you need to watch out for.

They tend to hunt near the shore and are bad tempered beasts.
