Whoopi Goldberg has apologized for using a Romani slur on Wednesday's episode of The View, with the host claiming her age played a factor.
Goldberg had been discussing possible criminal charges against former U.S. President Donald Trump in the hush money scandal with porn star Stormy Daniels when she used the word 'gypped.'
While speaking with fellow co-hosts the 67-year-old said: 'The people who still believe that he got, you know, gypped somehow, will still believe that he cared enough… about his wife to pay that money from his personal thing. I just don't understand. If that was the case, then why all the subterfuge? Why is Michael Cohen paying for it?'
Goldberg was quick to issue an apology video after realizing the faux pas, chalking up the mistake to words she'd heard throughout her life.

I can almost guarantee you that no real gypsies (or, "Romanis") complained. Dollars against donuts it was a bunch of White Woke Women in academia or the media that jumped all over it.
It’s not an obscenity. There’s nothing obscene about the term at all. I suppose you could say it’s a “slur”, but is it really a slur when it’s true?
Had a gypsy family who lived across the street from me when I was a kid. The parents never worked. The kids were the “breadwinners” in the family. How that worked was the dad would buy candy bars in bulk and the kids would walk around all day, trying to sell them to people in cars who were waiting for the red light to change so they could get on the expressway. Every day, all day. No school for those kids. And if any of the other kids in the neighborhood tried to talk to them, they’d just scowl and walk away.
How many times has this despicable creature had to apologize for saying something offensive to one group or another????
