Whoopi Goldberg has apologized for using a Romani slur on Wednesday's episode of The View, with the host claiming her age played a factor.
Goldberg had been discussing possible criminal charges against former U.S. President Donald Trump in the hush money scandal with porn star Stormy Daniels when she used the word 'gypped.'
While speaking with fellow co-hosts the 67-year-old said: 'The people who still believe that he got, you know, gypped somehow, will still believe that he cared enough… about his wife to pay that money from his personal thing. I just don't understand. If that was the case, then why all the subterfuge? Why is Michael Cohen paying for it?'
Goldberg was quick to issue an apology video after realizing the faux pas, chalking up the mistake to words she'd heard throughout her life.

We had an influx of 11 persons of Romani descent into my quiet country township a few years ago. Six months later 9 of them were arrested for running a card skimming ring at gas stations in the area. Discrimination occurs for reasons, and words like “gypped” do not arise out of thin air. For every new group that attempted to integrate into America they faced the same barriers and had to align their culture and behaviors with the standards of America or risk being exiled from mainstream business and society; the non-government tools of not selling, not renting, not hiring were very effective at getting even the most spicy of immigrant groups to integrate. If only it were still that way, we would not have many of the problems we face today.

Me too. I also heard Judge Millian give someone “down in the country” for saying that someone, jewed” him down. I had heard that all my life and it had never occured to me that the saying was JEWed” down.
I dont think anyone I ever heard say it was attempting to slur the Jewish people. I know I didnt, it just didnt occur to me that it could be a slur.
Trump did get gypped. He paid far too much. He should have tried to jew her down some.
