Bruce Springsteen has pulled out of his third concert in a week with an unspecified illness forcing him off the road with his band at the expense of an appearance planned Tuesday for Albany.
The postponements come as Springsteen’s first major tour with the E Street Band in six years ends its first month on the road.
AP reports the New Jersey rocker also gave himself and his band sick days last Thursday when they were to have performed in Columbus, Ohio, and again for a scheduled concert Sunday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
The concert tour has already drawn criticism over high ticket prices
Details were lacking in Springsteen’s social media posts which gave no further details on whatever malady is impacting his health or that of his band members.
His Twitter feed simply blamed the latest postponement on illness.
It merely said: “Due to illness, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s concert at MVP Arena in Albany on Tuesday, March 14 has been postponed. We are working on rescheduling the date so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled show.”

“Try applying leeches.”
Take him to a barber shop and have him bled a little...well maybe more than a little.😎
I am the opposite. Born in Boston, moved to NC about 25 years ago. When my northern friends talk down about country music I let them know that Springsteen is just country music without an accent.
While I abhor his politics, I am a lifelong fan.
I saw him in ‘76 in Athens, Ohio. It was a fantastic concert. I haven’t cared for anything he’s done in 40 years.
Poop-hole-itis. He’s always had a bad case of it.
Monkeypox. Def Monkeypox
loathsome lefty...but he does put on a great show.
He needs a warm bowl of bat soup.
But boosted how many times? Less than 12?
Commie flu?
Rumors say he’s been officially diagnosed as Stale. Terminally Stale.
Old age?
Nails down a chalkboard are more tolerable.
He had a concert for john kerry. Didn’t know he was braindead until then.
Meh. Today he’d never signed.
The most overrated musician is suffering from the most overrated infectious disease.

Bruce is non-listenable. In the video you can see that his pianist Roy Bittan is very talented. He played on the Bowie Station to Station album. After a random encounter in a Los Angeles hotel with some of Bowie’s musicians

As always, Bowie worked feverishly. Musicians got used to being called into the studio at any time of day. “I remember one night when we didn’t even have the studio booked, and I was at the Rainbow Bar and Grill,” recalls Slick. “As we used to say, I was ‘under the weather.’ Suddenly, one of the roadies comes in. They search the whole place and find me at a back table. He says, ‘Time to go to work.’ I say, ‘It’s one in the morning, and I’m drunk.’ He says, ‘That’s OK. David’s at the studio. There’s a car outside.’ So I paid my tab, jumped in the car and worked all night. I mean, that was not an unusual thing to happen.”
Bittan’s entrance into the sessions was equally spontaneous. “I was staying at the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles when we [the E Street Band] were on the Born to Run tour in 1975,” says Bittan. “I bumped into Earl Slick at the hotel, and he said, ‘I can’t believe you’re here. We were just talking about you.’ When I arrived the next day at the studio, David said to me, ‘Do you know who Professor Longhair is?’ I said, ‘Know him? I saw him play at a little roadhouse in Houston about three weeks ago!’ I wound up doing an imitation of Professor Longhair interpreting a David Bowie song. We began with ‘TVC 15,’ and I wound up playing on every song besides ‘Wild Is the Wind.’ It’s one of my favorite projects I’ve ever worked on.”
