The ONE Freeper You Would Have A Beer With...
I found that a lot of bars (I mean bars that are primarily bars) have good food that is reasonably priced, in order to keep people around to drink (which is their main revenue).
So I'm a non-drinker who likes eating at bars.
Miss Marmelstein...
Good choice
:^) Same here.
One problem: I don’t drink, and never liked beer, ever!
Back at you!
Open to a beer with anyone. Especially if they are buying
JRandom Freeper.
I got the first round, and you get the second round.
Oh man you would ask me that. I don't have it bookmarked since he gave up FR, but let me research a bit and get back to you.
I don’t care for beer either unless I am really, really, hot, and the beer is really, really cold.
But a ceremonial drink for me is not a bad thing...and I enjoy a social drink too...though my tastes don’t generally include things like scotch on the rocks. I do enjoy a tasty Seven&Seven, when mixed expertly, is a wonderful drink.
And, silly sugary drinks like a PainKiller, which I have consumed many of those on the sailing trips I took with people who knew the Carribean.
Generally, I enjoy the effect, and not the taste of alcohol!
But, I would have a Ginger Beer with you, FRiend!
BTW, I am currently dicating an audiobook, “Life and Times of Joseph Warren” written in 1862 by Richard Frothingham, and it is fascinating! Really enjoying it, but it is taking me months to complete...still working on it.
Buckhead was a brilliant poster but had to make some concessions to his fame and signed off without fanfare in 2013.
And beer-wise, he is top-3 for me, along with DFWGator (who I have probably just now ruined his sterling rep as the gets-along-with-anyone-Freeper, with that callout.); and one for the afterlife: CongressmanBillyBob, who passed in 2010 after a short, brutal battle with cancer.
Laz. Wouldn’t have to be beer. Water, rum, whatever. Just enjoy his creative writing.
Anytime. If you want a good, but long read (and if you’re like me, some of the parts on say, art or poetry, you’ll skip over) try Paul Johnson, “Birth of the Modern.”
JohnHuang2... and Jeff Head too
So what?
I most certainly will. I read his work “A History of the American People” and enjoyed it...thank you for the recommendation.
No. I made a mistake. I was thinking of a different poster.
Marmelstein is female.
She is a lady.
And right...so what?
But if people on here are setting up actual dates, they might want to know, and their spouses might want to know.
Not to start any rumors or anything.
Those are two of my favorites right there.
A tea party and chat in my garden with them would be nice.
I believe he is looking for a job.
It’s been a while, though.
How ‘bout it, pax? 😏
It’s been way too long, Allegra.
Let’s get together soon!
It’s been a while since I laughed so hard that I snorted beer out my nose.
🤣
