I don’t care for beer either unless I am really, really, hot, and the beer is really, really cold.
But a ceremonial drink for me is not a bad thing...and I enjoy a social drink too...though my tastes don’t generally include things like scotch on the rocks. I do enjoy a tasty Seven&Seven, when mixed expertly, is a wonderful drink.
And, silly sugary drinks like a PainKiller, which I have consumed many of those on the sailing trips I took with people who knew the Carribean.
Generally, I enjoy the effect, and not the taste of alcohol!
But, I would have a Ginger Beer with you, FRiend!
BTW, I am currently dicating an audiobook, “Life and Times of Joseph Warren” written in 1862 by Richard Frothingham, and it is fascinating! Really enjoying it, but it is taking me months to complete...still working on it.
Anytime. If you want a good, but long read (and if you’re like me, some of the parts on say, art or poetry, you’ll skip over) try Paul Johnson, “Birth of the Modern.”
