Ken Burns has always been a far left propagandist. His propaganda series on the War Between the States was one of the first to really push the PC Revisionist “all about slavery” lie.

Some pre-war examples from both the north and south:

The Northern editorials became more and more pro-Lincoln after he started shutting down opposing newspapers in the North. The war became about slavery, rather than revenue, a couple of years into the war.
