Star Trek Discovery Is Cancelled And Fans Are Divided Star Trek Discovery is being cancelled after its fifth season, and the reaction from fans shows that its place in the franchise is uncertain. By Rhiannon Bevan Published 2 days ago After a six-year run, it's official: Paramount is pulling the plug on Star Trek Discovery. This isn't quite enough to make it the shortest-running mainline Trek series - that "honour" goes to Star Trek Enterprise - but it is a far more abrupt end than most. So unsurprisingly, fans are divided on both the show, and the decision to can it after just five seasons. While some are mourning the show, grateful that it kickstarted a new generation of Trek, others shed no tears at all, feeling that it was the worst of the bunch. Then we have others who are actually happy it's gone, celebrating the end of a show that seems to have struggled to find its place in the Star Trek series.

get woke, go broke
Anyway, thass all I got. Goo away now!
So the show with the openly gay character flopped? Big surprise there.
#DIV/0!
I just Googled "Chris Thor" and see that you were referring to the The Star Trek movie reboot.
I guess I don't even care about the rest come to think of it. But what was ST4 and what did Quentin Tarantino ever have to do with Star Trek? So I Googled that too.
For a brief period in the 2010s, Tarantino got to live out the fantasy of every Star Trek fan by taking the reins on a new Star Trek movie. In December 2017, the news broke that Tarantino himself had approached Paramount Pictures with a very distinctive idea for a Star Trek movie. Jun 25, 2022Sigh. I don't want to know any more. Good grief.
I did like Galaxy Quest though.

Yeah, the mushroom drive was the least of.its problems.
DS9 had the deepest bench when it came to characters, a good mix of deadly serious and humor, and broke the Wesley Crusher curse by developing Jake into a real character. It truly developed the Ferengi and Klingons, and had great depth of non Star Fleet characters. Plus competing with B5 didn’t hurt.
I gave Picard season 3 a try on the Drinker’s recommendation.
I never saw Diversity nor the first two seasons of Picard.
But, so far, it’s not bad, at least here at 3 episodes in. There’s still plenty of time to screw it up before the end of the season though. Worf steals the show once he shows up.
I assume they wrapped the season before showing the first one, and I’m guessing Picard either dies or goes on to live happily ever after. Stewart is barely able to pull the character off at his current age, and it’s just going to get worse if he tries. But the rest of the characters could go on to something else.

I lasted about 5 minutes on one episode before the woke choke got to be too much to take
Woke garbage.
Quentin was going to 'Tarentino" the final Star Trek film, letting the f-ck word and bones and sinew fly on camera.
It was a shrewd idea, the cast was already making room for the pre-pro, and Hemsworth shot it down and used as his publicity excuse that he would not have been able to make the Infinity double-shoot, even though Abrams was willing to hold off on Star Trek: Tarentino.
Hemsworth thinks he's Thor, similarly to the way Chris Evans believes he's Steve Rogers (Captain America). Money is a drug, dude.
I liked Sisco very much.
It’s not Star Trek without William Shatner
B5 to me beats DS9 by a little bit.
Avery Brooks can be intense, but he humanized his character well.
