I have some genuine questions and I have no malice against Ron DeSantis or his supporters but a few things trouble me about him!
He has the tacit support of the Bushes.
I know they want anyone but Trump but as one Freeper put it: Will he blow kisses back?
What does having their support mean? Does it mean Karl Rove becomes an advisor? Campaign cash, staff and what not?
Think about it.
It's not just some throw away endorsement by them it comes with serious muscle, donors, etc.
He's also visiting Texas instead of CPAC.
Will he be hanging out with Ron Paul or the Bush clan?
This will be telling to me.
I notice Fox and Murdoch are also pushing him heavily.
Again, anyone but Trump is the cry but that also comes with serious muscle and TV/media coverage.
Will DeSantis sell his soul for all this and to try and be president and if he succeeded with all these connections just WHAT kind of president will he be?
THIS is what I'm thinking and what worries me.
I much prefer Trump the disruptor. Tried and tested and you know what you're getting.
Whether you like him or not Ron is much more of a conventional politician.

I was redistricted into a 75% Democrat district last year. My vote has never meant less, so I no longer give a damn. This internecine tussle between Trump and DeSantis means nothing to me.

Trump had an amazing three years as president. He threw it away with his Covid response.
Yes, I had full vaccination with 2 jabs in Feb & March 2021. That allowed us to enjoy 5 cruises which began sailing in Sept 2021. Ships were half full and prices were bargains. Never got symptoms or tested positive during pre-cruise testing which was mandatory.
In November 2022 I got infected, probably after spending long hours in cancer hospital to escort my wife. Had symptoms (fever, cough, body pains) and used the home-test-kit and it said positive for covid. Miraculously all symptoms disappeared in 42 short hours. No nedicines, no hospital.
What is DeSantis’s position on foreign wars for alien peoples? And what is his position on DREAMers?

Nah. He lost because of mean tweets which reminded many suburban women of their ex-husband. 90% of them chose to get vaxxed so that was nothing against Trump. Trump is sure to win nomination in 2024, and can defeat Biden, Kamala, Buttigieg. May be Newsome will beat him.
Stop asking difficult questions. DeSantis deserves kid glove treatment.

I respect everyone’s position on whether not to get jabbed. It’s a personal choice and should be respectful of it. My sister’s family was vaccinated, but we never got into it. AFAIK, they’ve never had a negative reaction
That is immaterial. I would hate see DeSantis assigned a few new derogatory adjectives besides Sanctimonious, during primary debates. Those will become campaign Ads by democrats should DS win nomination. Trump is ahead of DS in all meaningful polls. DS has zero to none chance of winning nomination in 2024.
Those adjectives assigned to DS in 2024 campaign will be used by democrats in 2028 should DS become nominee in 2028. I think DS is smart to not jump in the ring with Trump. It is lose-lose for DS.
