A teen contestant on Wheel of Fortune left audience members shocked after she answered G to fill in 'Fre_h Tropical Fruit.'
On Monday night's show, Khushi Talluru, of Colorado Springs, froze at the worst possible moment and unfortunately offered the wrong letter to answer a seemingly easy puzzle - or so the audience thought.
After correctly guessing the letter H at the end of the word, host Pat Sajak urged the teen to 'solve it or spin, but do something quickly.'
The Pine Creek High School student seemed hesitant and bought herself a few extra seconds by spinning the wheel.
'What letter for you,' Sajak prompted.
'I'll go with a...G?' she spit out, sounding like she was already questioning her own answer.
Seconds later, a female audience member can be heard yelling: 'What!'
Khushi's wrong answer cost her the bonus round and her fellow contestant Juliana correctly solved the puzzles after the epic fail.
Sajak, perhaps sensing the backlash Khushi was about to face, immediately went to defend the teen, saying: 'You know, when that happens when you're sitting at home, you're thinking: "How in the world?" but you know, sometimes, it's just a word that doesn't want to come into focus.'
In reference to Juliana, he said: 'It did for you.'

I’m tempted to scoff, but I was never up on stage in front of an audience, under bright lights and a TV camera when I was in high school - I guess the kid just had a brain-freeze.
Make it a daily double.
And she probably needed a double after that.
I think the funniest part of that is Vanna’s reaction.
Waiting for ‘racist game’ critique...
Stage fright. Those lights are hot and you can flip out from pressure. I give her a pass.
Being up on stage isn’t as easy as it looks. I’ve done a couple of knowledge bowls and a spelling bee, plus some sooting matches.
The pressure can get to some people. My very smartr high school classmate clammed up during one of the knowledge bowl.
That said, she missed an easy win.
From her own personal description of her high school interests...she’s a lefty. She also tried to buy a vowel...but didn’t have any money. Typical democrat.
"sooting matches"
Is it the worst goof ever?
YEG. YEG IT IG.

Here is another time when a contestant had a brain freeze...and what the puzzle’s answer was...ironic to say the least given what happened to the contestant.
