This is a response about FR from the AI site, ChatGPI, I found it interesting and thought I'd share.

FreeRepublic is a conservative news forum and website that has been known to spread misleading or false information, and engage in conspiracy theories and hate speech. While it presents itself as a platform for conservative discourse and activism, it has also been criticized for promoting extremist views and rhetoric.

One of the main reasons why FreeRepublic can be considered dangerous is its potential to spread misinformation and propaganda. The website is known for its biases and selective reporting, which can create an echo chamber effect that reinforces particular political views and opinions. This can lead to individuals being misinformed or uninformed about important political issues, and can contribute to the erosion of public trust in media and democratic institutions.

Additionally, the website has been known to promote hate speech and extremist views. Some of the posts on FreeRepublic have included racist, sexist, and homophobic comments, and have even advocated for violence against political opponents. This kind of rhetoric can contribute to a toxic political climate and create an environment of hostility and division.

Overall, while FreeRepublic presents itself as a platform for conservative activism and discourse, it can be dangerous due to its potential to spread misinformation and hate speech, and contribute to a divisive and toxic political climate.

Essentially ChatGPT has read everything on the Internet (as of 10/21), and that's what was weighted highest. No one programmed ChatGPT specifically to trash FR.

Democrat Underground...

Democratic Underground is a political forum that primarily promotes liberal and progressive viewpoints. The website has been criticized by some for fostering an echo chamber mentality and for promoting a partisan, us-versus-them mentality. While Democratic Underground may not necessarily be considered "dangerous" in a literal sense, there are concerns that political polarization and online echo chambers can contribute to social and political division, which in turn can lead to a breakdown in civil discourse and understanding. It's important for individuals to engage in open-minded, respectful, and fact-based discussions and to seek out diverse perspectives in order to promote a healthy democracy.

I didn’t see much there that wasn’t true. Sure, the language isn’t what most of us would use to describe ourselves, but the use of homophobic and racist posts happen every day.

And conspiracy theories? Every other thread has a couple.

But it is also is the best news aggregator site on the internet. What ChapGPT misses is that users here usually have the ability to separate the chaff from the wheat. Just because something is written on the internet….doesn’t make it true.

Sounds like Leftist propaganda. What a surprise considering who programed it.

The iron law of computing is “garbage in, garbage out”. The programmers tell ChatGPT what to think about FR, climate change, Covid vaccines, etc, and the AI robot regurgitates it’s programming.
