The thread title says it all... If you think I'm wrong, check it out
Freegards to all.
I sure wish people would start posting these videos to rumble or some other site besides communist utube.
Thanks for posting.
Had never heard of him.
Smooth and effortless as Chet Atkins.
I like some Jazz, but not all.
He had endurance.
Pingzies!??
Could you add me to the list?
Thanks for posting! Wonderful. A great musician. It always amuses me to see the various lists of ‘the greatest guitarists’ etc. and have people like him not even mentioned.
Here is Joe pass (studio recording) playing rhythm with Oscar Peterson on electric piano:
Heard it on WEMU, Ann Arbor in the 80s and was thereby introduced to both.
Saw hi. At the Pablo jazz festival in LA many years ago with Ella’s.
My oh my.
Wow! Thanks for posting!
Hi, can you please add me to the ping list for pingification?
But my money is still on Roy Clark.
Wow...thank you for that.
“I keep a 5 string Tele tuned to G, does that count? It’s a Keith Richard’s thing.”
When I feel like playing stones songs, I tune to Richards. Lately I have been listening to Justin Johnson and Buffalo Nichols.

This is a great u toob channel
Makes learning songs really easy.
I play uke too.
For those who have hands that are too big for a concert uke, the tennor uke is a little bigger and has the same tuning and chord shapes.
I also have a baritone uke, those are even larger. The tuning is different with different chord shapes but you can order special strings that are designed to let you tune it to the regular uke tuning,, gcea, and use regular uke chord shapes.
Every kid should have a uke.
They so funny. Ever try to hold one without smiling and laughing at it ?
And are easy to learn to play.
Ever see Zakk Wylde play Black Sabbath on a Hello Kitty uke?
YouTube it.
The thread title is silly. I’ve seen Joe Pass play solo up close. I was probably 25 feet away. He was an amazing guy and a one of a kind.
However there are many great guitarists of differing styles besides Joe Pass.
I’ll check it out, and raise you with

Charlie Byrd is another great and versatile guitarist who doesn’t get the accolades he deserves. Byrd was fundamentally a jazz oriented player but he ventured into other genres and was instrumental (pun intended) in introducing bossa nova to this country.
I would put Wes above them all.
Listening to Pass and Peterson trade 4’s is one of the great pleasures made possible by Western Civilization to modern people.
Chet Atkins .
Beleive it or not
