A Pennsylvania mother has turned herself in to police after her 6-year-old son allegedly took a semi-automatic handgun from her room and brought it to school, prosecutors said.
When kids got off the bus at Gotwals Elementary School on Feb. 9, they told a secretary that a "boy had been showing other students on the bus a real gun and bullets," the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
The secretary brought the 6-year-old to the office and found the gun in his backpack, and then called Norristown police, according to prosecutors.

If the 6 year old was “Trans”, the school would have celebrated his diversity and defended his right to have a gun because of “bigots”.

I would think it would be a revolver.
Grandkids frequently come to visit me with their mom. I always make sure my guns are locked up before they arrive, and other than my holstered gun, which I keep in a Level 4 retention holster, they're in the safe, unloaded. Have yet to experience any problems.
Is it that hard to put the sucker on a dresser where a kid can’t reach it?

Semi-automatic isn’t even a proper gun term, they are properly referred to as auto-loaders, but the media thinks the former sounds ‘cooler’ and more dangerous.

Very true. Unfortunately, the story will be rich fodder for the gun grabbers, who will conveniently leave out the details.
There are several options for sori g handguns. The best is a biometric safe. I personally like the drop down shelf. If junior doesn’t know about it, it’s a convenient way to store weapons up out of little hands.
