Sure....let’s address the symptoms, and, never the cause.

What next? Gumball machines with Narcan on every corner?

Leftist mentality.

You can get ivermectin from vending machines in Mexico.

Amazing the priorities of those that make the decisions.

The retail costs of Narcan is ~$40.00 a dose. My guess is that most junkies would rather spend that forty bucks on junk.

Even with that, making Narcan more widely and easily available would save lives, at least until the next time they overdose.

Personally, I think they should make opiods over-the-counter. Clean out the riff-raff.

The overdose-reversing drug naloxone should be made available over the counter to aid the national response to enable the opioid crisis, U.S. health advisers said ...

Correcting the text that the U.S. health advisers messed up.

As I understand it Narcan is a brand name of naloxone, and naltrexone is time-release naloxone. Low dose naloxone has been off-label prescribed for autoimmune disease for years. Most autoimmune disease happens because ingested opioid from foods attach to cell endorphin receptors. The immune system recognizes the opioids as a pathogen attack. It attacks the opioids and the affected tissue. the reason for the immune system’s confusion is digestive bacterial mimicry.

Low dose naltrexone is effective at making the immune system ignore the opioid attack. I only hope this means that Narcan can be titrated to the same end.

Most drugs should be over the counter or at least available without a prescription. The U.S. keeps things like antibiotics and blood pressure medicine prescription only to keep the prices up and to make sure everybody gets their cut. Most places around the world don't require a prescription for everyday drugs.

I was running low on BP medicine in Dubai and walked into a pharmacy to get a refill. The pharmacist asked what I needed and I told her, she just handed them to me. I asked if she needed to see the prescription on the old bottles and she said nope, no need. They're not going to give you morphine without a prescription, but most drugs you just tell them what you want and pay for it. That's the way it should be but in the U.S. we have to treat everyone like children because God forbid somebody might be able to receive medical care without jumping through a ton of hoops and everybody getting their cut of the money.

The want to make it “Over the Counter”, because right now it’s available over the counter.
I think they want to have it in the isles so it’s easier to steal.
