As a first responder, as a prepper, as someone who just likes to be prepared, this is a good thing. Narcan should be part of every first aid kit, given that anyone could be exposed to fentanyl, just exposure to someone else who has the dust on their clothes is enough to cause reaction. Narcan is expensive now, and making it over the counter will help reduce that cost.
Bureaucrats are telling your doctor how to treat pain. And patients suffer needlessly.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Kinda like NYS providing heating assistance welfare in lieu of drilling more to bring down prices. Talk about fuzzy budgeting that is a lose lose.
Maybe it would be better to get the kids off these dangerous drugs coming over the border and just prescribe them free opiates. That would make as much sense.
