Shouldn’t he run policy changes past his donor class first?

Trump is from Florida. Put him on the board that babysits the Disney moral degenerates. He’d feel right at home.

Dumb idea. Create another board?

How about just pull the status and then send them a bill for taxes not paid going back to when the status was put into place?

In WA state, in 2008, we got a call from a state auditor informing us that they had change the way software maintenance contract revenue was being recognized and that we owed $435,000 in back taxes, payable that day. The auditor was identified by their number (#324).

They were calling all of the software companies and doing the same thing. We had to lay off a bunch of people to pay the bill. Happened September 13, one day after the credit market froze, our banks turned our lines of credit into loans, and Lehman went to zero.

No more boards. Just send them a bill.

How much of normal municipal services (police, fire, roads, etc.) are now provided directly by Disney? If Disney is charged local taxes, will Disney abandon those services and insist the government in the form of that special taxing district provide them?

I'm reminded of when a Dayton mayor tried to annex the local Air Force Base. Since the Air Force provided all the normal services, it would have been a case of the city collecting a 2.5% city income tax from every employee of the base but not doing anything.

I hate Disney as much as anybody else, but don’t we always say corporations don’t pay taxes? Isn’t that our argument when the left wants their “windfall profit” tax? Is something different here?

Disney can’t simply decide to move the enterprise to another state. This is funny.
