A Delta Airlines passenger accused a flight attendant of telling his wife she had a 'stupid face' in a row after the couple tried to use a first-class overhead bin.
Thomas Todd posted a now viral video of his experience aboard a flight from Orlando to New York City last November, when an unidentified flight attendant warned him and his wife, Jen, to stop 'being rude.'
The video, which began after the couple reportedly tried to place their bags in the first-class bins because their own section was full, sees the flight attendant become increasingly frustrated with Todd.
‘Don’t do it,' she warns him. 'Because I will turn this plane around to get you off. Don’t do it. Don’t press my buttons.’
Todd claims the employee 'verbally assaulted' and 'threatened' him and his wife, allegedly telling Jen 'she had a stupid face,' before having them removed from the flight.

Only a stupid person would try to use the first class storage as an economy passenger. That is why 1st class is 8 to 10 times more.expensive.
Someone makes an innocent comment, or at worst the mildest of insults, and suddenly it's international news and we're all supposed to be outraged.
Some stranger tells another stranger that she has a stupid face. But why am I supposed to care?

Video shows nothing. especially the passenger’s face. So no way of knowing if she has a stupid face or not. Judgement withheld until more evidence.
I wonder why they waited from November to now to release their “viral” video. You wouldn’t want it to be yesterday if someone was going to refute your story.
Flight attendant is black. Uppity economy passengers are white. Wonder of there was some racial animus in her comment. Even so, the economy passengers were wrong to try to stow their carryon in first class.

While the employee did it wrongly (sic) the passenger(s) is at fault here.

Over 2 million miles in seats enables me to form this opinion.
It’s purely anecdotal, but it seems a disproportionate number of incidents involving unruly passengers are on flights between New York City and Florida...
Heck, that was nothing. A few words spoken then the FA removed herself from the couple. NEVER argue with an FA - you’ll never win.
Where I have sympathy is that airlines often do not enforce the carryon size limit closely enough. Or, the airlines have crammed more seats into the economy section without increasing storage for carry on luggage.
I hate flying any US or European based airline. They are all horrible

If it was a white flight attendant saying that to a black woman it would have been the main story for days or weeks.
Let’s see the face. The flight attendant may have a valid point.
They could start rejecting the boarding of any passenger with a stupid face. “Stupid is as stupid does,” as Forest Gump once said (quoting his Mama).
Maybe the flight attendant could have asked the question young Jenny asked of Forest Gump, on the school bus: “Are you stupid or something?”
I can see the airline ad: “Passengers who look stupid will not be welcome on our airline except on “red-eye” flights. You may be allowed aboard if you are just ugly but your fare will be doubled.”
I don’t think discrimination based upon stupidity is a prohibited act under Civil Rights Laws. Don’t we need to draw the line somewhere?

Flight attendant seems to be on a power trip : “...I will turn this plane around ...” She does not have that authority but she knows that nine and a half times out of ten the Captain will back up the cabin (flight attendant) crew.
While almost all First class passengers are on board with their carry on baggage stowed by the time general boarding,
passengers should follow crew instructions.
These people are idiots. Thankfully most people are taking the race bait, and rightfully savaging them online.
