This further suggest the great falling away is underway and the church and many of its members are in an apostatic state. There is a spiritual war that has been going on since the beginning of time and we tried to rationalize it or water it down with science and the age of enlightenment to make it nearly invisible even in our churches, but the war is still ongoing. There is nothing wrong with science or enlightened logical thinking but to dismiss the spiritual and supernatural aspect of the Bible and good and evil is short sighted and ignoring reality.
