Exactly. Pretty much everybody has TVs now, and have had them for decades. If a person spent two days watching a mix of programming, including Andy Griffith, Cosby Show, etc., it should dawn on anyone that there are two possible directions to choose. If they don’t choose well, that’s on them.

We saw a clip of some (alleged) high-IQ scientist and developer of AI giving a presentation recently. She did the vocal fry thing. The first time you do that, your credibility decreases by about 50%, IMHO.
When I was single...the chicks with kids were fine for a booty call, but they were NEVER considered marriage material.
I read the article on the vocal fry—and I agree it makes the speaker sound like an arrogant jerk con artist.

It’s not that she “can’t find a man to marry her”, it’s that she cannot find a man SHE FINDS DESIRABLE to commit to her. The men she might find desirable all have better options than her.

Good call on the wife. My wife stacked 3 cords of wood on the porch this fall and just made a fantastic pea and ham soup on the wood stove, one of the reasons I married her was she was a hard worker besides being a hottie.
The replacement of the extended family with the nuclear family was the beginning of the decay. Wish more people would realize that.
Better and simpler idea:
1) No child support obligation for any child born outside marriage.
2) No child support obligation for any child not a man's biological child, as PROVEN by genetic testing. (ie, if she marries a guy, he has NO, ZERO legal obligations for any kids she brings in which are not his)
3) No welfare. If a woman has a child out of wedlock, she has to support it herself by the sweat of her own brow.
See how fast the "Sexual Revolution" comes to a screeching halt. Not in 30-50 years, but NEXT DAY.
Let's say a guy marries her, and she divorces him a year later. Does anyone here have ANY doubt that the Family Court judge will declare him the daughter's father figure and obligate him to pay support through college?
