Oh Good Grief. US Military Fears China May Reach Balloon Wreckage Before They Can Get There – Proper Salvage Vessel Won’t Be There For Days

You just can’t make this up! After allowing a China spy balloon to float across Alaska and the continental United States for the last 10 days, the US military finally shot the balloon down after its work was accomplished.

Now the US military is concerned they may not reach the balloon wreckage before China can. The balloon was shot down 6 miles off the coast of Carolina. They can’t be serious, except that they are.

The US military will not have a proper salvage vessel at the scene for several days.

These clowns are making a mockery of the United States.

The Navy is busy practicing folding and unfolding rainbow flags.

They need to do it until they get it right!

A senior military advisor told Fox News that the debris field was about seven-miles wide, with the depth of the waters estimated at 47 feet.

47 ft. is close to shore. Perhaps just a few miles out.

The US military will not have a proper salvage vessel at the scene for several days.

That doesn't tell us anything.

The area can be (and probably was) secured immediately and collection of debris is underway.

A "proper" salvage vessel might be needed for the more difficult to find/retrieve stuff. So what.

Yep- there are military bases all up and down the east coast. You telling me that NOT ONE of them can go and surround it and blast the Chinese out of the water if they attempt to get it???

Marine Traffic is showing a “tug” out there with a survey ship (Pathfinder). Also appears to be an LSD (Carter Hall) heading into the area.

Best evidence is the original article at DailyMail: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11713943/Fears-grow-China-reach-spy-balloon-wreckage-ahead-Navy.html

- US Navy and Coast Guard vessels are securing the perimeter off the coast of South Carolina where a fighter jet shot down a Chinese spy balloon

- A proper salvage vessel, however, won’t be on the scene for days, officials said

- They added that the downed balloon had a debris field of seven-miles wide and fell into waters of about 47 feet deep

They could put a US Navy tugboat over the balloon and it’s unlikely that China would challenge it. So, this is all pretext.

Yep- US isn’t even asking for lube at this point, just helplessly getting on all fours, head down and will wait for it to happen with NO defense.

Bunch of cowards and traitors.

Thank you, DEMONCRATS. 🖕

The problem is REPUBLICANS. Crickets!!! They should be screaming ‘dereliction of duty’ and looking for accountability. This only happens because they’re absent.

Nothing to look at here. Look at the racist attacks on Chinese attempts to go “forward”.

If only the military could have calculated where it would go down and had a ship waiting! Biden’s military tried so diligently but math and planning is sooo hard.

You would need torpedoes, AA, long range artillery, radar/satellite jammers, about 100 or so ships and crew armed to the teeth etc... to get past Biden's and China's military blockade.

FYI: The warhead on the US Sidewinder missile did NOT detonate when it impacted the Chinese War Balloon. It could be because the target was too soft to cause the missile’s impact fuse to work, and maybe its proximity fuse could not “see” the thin floating balloon enough, that it was unable to reflect enough of a signal to “read” its proximity. But more likely? I believe the US Air Force removed the explosive warhead from the missile, so they were basically firing a supersonic dart at the balloon, so as to take no chances of damaging the technological apparatus it was carrying!
