A Russian company today said it will offer five million roubles (£58,000) in cash to the first soldiers who destroy or capture Western tanks in Ukraine after the Kremlin vowed that any allied armoured vehicles shipped to Kyiv would 'burn'.

The United States, Germany and more Western allies are lining up to join Britain in sending dozens of heavy tanks to Ukraine over the next few months to help boost the country's military capacity as the war approaches the 12-month mark.

The decision by the NATO allies has been criticised by the Kremlin as a dangerous esclation, with Moscow warning the new Western supplies will 'burn like all the rest'.

Now a Russian company - Fores, a Urals-based firm which makes proppants for the energy industry - is offering cash payments to Russian servicemen who 'capture or destroy' German-made Leopard 2 or U.S.-made Abrams tanks.

I'm sure Russia would like to inspect a modern Nato tank.

If they capture the tanks does only first owner get the full warranty to 50,000 miles? Otherwise they have to sign up with the supplemental car repair places like the TV ads.

Plan B is to hire a college student stand in front of the tank and reason with the crew.

Any Abrams tanks shipped to the Ukraine will not have top secret armor. Export versions do not have classified armor.

Well as for our M1-A1s they had the pick of the lot after we left them in Afghanistan.

The Kurds know the weaknesses of the Leopard tank, considered one of the best in the world.

If they know the weaknesses then Russia does also.

If some packaging engineer in bum-cluck middle of America town knows the Kurds figured out how to destroy Leopards then you can bet your bottom dollar the Russians know also.

I think that the rail lines and bridges in western Ukraine will be under heavier attacks than before now.

*************

Like they haven’t already seen specs.

Intelligence agency from potential adversary nations don’t have to steal documents from parasites in US executive bureaucracies.

They can go to the source or the producer....... the manufacturing sector.

The manufacturing sector is looking for a labor supply BTW.

Any labor supply, from wherever.(Why work in a factory when you can make more money in easier employment?)

We didn’t have tanks in AFG, nor did we give them to the Afghans.

I imagine it has to be confirmed destruction and not just a mobility kill such as blowing off a road wheel or track.

No the tanks are a new addition to the war and the Russians offering a bounty indicates they feel a need to target the tanks.
Therefore the Russians seem very concerned about the tanks.
That is a substantive logical comment.
Yours wasn’t.
