California’s reparations task force met again on Friday in San Diego with public comment from speakers who urged bold action and for the state to go forward with payments to African Americans as repayment for slavery. After comments by Dr. Shirley Weber, California Secretary of State, one speaker blasted the suggested amount of $223,000 per resident as insufficient.
Reverend Tony Pierce came to the microphone and slammed the idea of limiting the cash payouts to California residents: "There should be no residency requirements for California! We have to encourage our people to come back to California! What better way to encourage our people to come back to California if we have no requirements?"
"How will reparations be paid?" he added. "Immediately!"
After being told that his time is up, Pierce yelled at the audience, "And $200,000 is not enough! $223,000 is not enough!"
In December, one attendee at the task force meeting called for $350,000 per eligible individual.
California resident and Civil Justice Association of California member Marcus Champion called for "direct cash payments, tax-exempt status, free college education, grants for homeownership, business grants, access to low to no business funding and capital." He called for the creation of The Office of American Freedmen Affairs to handle eligibility on reparations.
Speaker Josiah Williams, a member of American Redress Coalition of the California Bay Area, called for a specific targeting of the reparations claims.
"I wanted to add that if there is anyone else who has their own claim, they can definitely write it up, get someone to champion it and I would support them in that effort," he said. "But this is for a specific group of people."

They don’t deserve a penny. They’ve swindled trillions of dollars from the U.S. taxpayers for welfare, healthcare, housing and damage to our cities. They need to pay every penny back to the U.S. taxpayers. While they’re at it, they can knock off all their “white supremacy” bullsh&t they’ve been taught by their DNC white massas.
I propose that every person alive who was a slave prior to 1865 should receive ONE BILLION DOLLARS.
They simply need to apply in person accompanied by both parents.

Things like this always remind me of the evacuated New Orleans guy, during Katrina, that complained about how much FREE money he was given.

The simple fact that black people can discuss reparations, can discuss crap like “The 1619 Project” and get paid for it, that BLM continues to exist and prosper, along with many other black centric ideas, is proof enough that what they discuss is BS. If things were as bad as they want us to believe, then they would not be around to discuss it more than once.
If it ever comes to pass that reparations are to be paid out, I want it paid out in cash, between 8AM and 5PM, in a public square with cameras filming every recipient, name and get a receipt. They can carry the money away in duffle bags. No guns allowed within 1 mile of the payout site. What happens after will be a cultural phenomenon.

On further reflection, I don’t think the Legislature will pass this. Better from their point of view to put it on the ballot, which the Legislature is empowered to do. Then all the rat leaders can barnstorm the state, begging the electorate to put to rest the evil injustices of the past. Then, when the ballot measure fails by 50 points, they can say they did all they could. The riots the night of the election would be a small price to pay for the greatest virtue signal in the history of race hustling

There are about 200 million adults in the USA, 12% are black. That is 24 MILLION possible beneficiaries.
Being HANDED $220K per person means EVERY ONE them will head to California. The cost will be $5.28 TRILLION. California’s annual budget is apx. $280 Billion. So it will take 18 YEARS of the TOTAL CA budget to pay off their largesse.
Can you imagine what that will do to property values, which are already through the roof? A 500 sq. ft. condo on the AZ border will be $2 million!
And then you have people like me who only LOOK white. Since there is no scientific definition of race and I have some African DNA, I figure my birthstate can cough up some of those tax $ I paid for 30 years until I wisely moved to TX.

That seems a reasonable amount for a slave, but since all the slaves, and slaveowners, are dead, I’ll adjust the amount to $0.
