The 61-year-old felon arrested for the murder of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan rented his Jacksonville home from Bridegan's ex-wife's new husband.
Henry Tenon is in custody on charges of second degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for Bridegan's killing on February 16. ***
Police however said at a press conference on Wednesday that he did not act alone, and that they continue to investigate.
Tenon rented his home from Mario Fernandez, the new husband of Bridegan's ex-wife Shanna. The couple sold the house in October 2022 - eight months after the murder, and three months after Tenon was arrested for unrelated gun charges.
Neither Shanna nor Mario, who moved cross country from Florida to Washington state, have been arrested.
According to sheriff's records, Tenon was arrested in August on unrelated gun charges. He will go before a judge tomorrow on murder charges.
'We know Henry Tenon did not act alone,' said State's Attorney Melissa Nelson at a press conference today.
Bridegan was killed on February 16, 2022, while driving from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, to St. Augustine, after dropping off his nine-year-old twins with their mother. His two-year-old daughter, Bexley, was in the car at the time.
*** Tenon was arrested last August by the same police department on charges of owning a weapon despite being a convicted felon, and driving without a license.
His previous offenses include felony traffic violations like driving with a suspended license multiple times, along with misdemeanor assault and domestic violence charges.
His long arrest record dates back to the mid 1990s.
Jared was ambushed by his killer, who'd placed a tire in the middle of the road to ensure he would stop, get out of the car and walk towards it ***

This is more than just a black on white crime.....I even suspect that aspect might be only incidental to the real motive.
Sounds like the ex-wife put out a hit on him.
New husband ought to watch out. When she’s tired of him, he may be next in line.

Male Victim <— felon murdered this guy
Victims ex wife
New husband of victims ex-wife <— felon rented home from this guy
I had to seriously think when parsing this title
AND the ex-wife just moved her family to Washington state.
I need a flow chart. And a state diagram.
I’m not suggesting there isn’t. The fact that the thug has committed numerous crimes throughout the years but keeps getting released because of “equity.”
Looks to me like a situation where the alleged hit man just happened to be black, instead of being motivated by his intended victim’s color.
I suspect his days of freedom may be over.
Gonna be a ward of the state for the rest of what’s left of his soon to be short life.
She's lucky that Hammurabi's law code is no longer in force.
"If a seignor's wife has brought about the death of her husband because of another man, they shall impale that woman on stakes."

“Like walkin’ in the rain and the snow when there’s nowhere to go, when you’re feeling like you want to hire a hit man....”
What a shame. :(
Nice to see good police work is still being done in the city of Jacksonville, FL.
I’ll bet his accomplice was Mortice.
I see what you did there...
I read the headline 3 times and STILL didn’t understand it!! GEEZE!!
This is what happens when you write about people who don’t want their name mentioned.
That one was jam-packed with so much I had to diagram it.
I am glad I was not the only one.
