They say this as people flee the cities in droves so they know it will have to be by force. They may be in for a surprise.

I remember that article too. Seems like it referred to these as strip-cities or something like that.

Africa, like Russia, could be a world power based upon it’s largely untapped resources but isn’t because of incessant local corruption and tribalism.

The mega cities in China are presently being depopulated by disease in numbers unheard of since the Black Plague.
Disease will kill off populations of cities that are lacking in governmental capability to counter. Nairobi and Kinshasa and perhaps Mexico City and Mumbai are such cities.

Prepper ping - Urbanization of the worlds population will occur due to "push and pull" of society
This represents a 54% increase within 30 years
'Push and pull' have been identified as: violence, crime, food security, energy and fuel availability, mass transportation,
availability of employment and jobs, etc., etc., and will lead to "megacities"
" By 2050, 70 percent of the world’s population will live in cities, up from 54 percent in 2020, according to a new report by the Institute for Economics & Peace.
This increase is being driven by both population growth and a continued shift towards urbanization, particularly to so called ‘megacities’
- metropolises that have a population of 10 million or more.
As Statista's Anna Fleck details below, urbanization takes place because of both push and pull factors..."

The “Elephant in the room” question is...where will the food to feed these hordes come from?Click images for link to videos.
Vertical Indoor Farming
Cricket Labs - processing facility.
Lab grown meat
All have two things in common. 1) Patented; technology and/or processes and/or CRISPR Cas9 gene editing. 2) Can be done in cities. They don't want the average Joe to be able to supply their own food.
The rich will still have their jets with unvaXXXed pilots, their ocean front mansions and will eat real food grown the old fashioned way. It's CRISPR Cas9 gene edited veggies, lab grown meat and crickets for the rest of us.
