These days anything goes. Men identify as women, women as men, girls as cats... if Julian wants to identify as a missing hiker, all power to him/her.
I used to hike and backpack all over the mountains around L.A.: Baldy; Angeles Crest; Santa Monica Mountains; San Gabriel Mountains; San Bernardino Mountains; et als. That was many, many years ago (1960s).
I’ve hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in this area... it cannot be emphasized enough- these are the big mountains. Winter is absolutely no joke and carrying an ice axe in your hands, and wearing crampons on the soles of your footwear is essential. Knowing how to use an ice axe is especially important. Anything else is folly.
The most fell beast you can meet in the mountains ain’t a puma, or a wolf or bear, heck, it ain’t even a bigfoot...
Nope.
As Charlton Heston said, “It’s people!”
The human animal is by far the most dangerous.
With the weather on the West Coast the last couple of weeks, a big WTH was he thinking is in order. Hope people don’t die looking for him!
Sutton Ross from The Blacklist. He’s the one who told Liz the bag of bones was, in fact, Raymond Reddington and that the Red she knows, is an imposter. Also introduced Liz to her sister. Ray shot him.
Said a prayer for him but I wish people would not go hiking on mountains. I know that will never stop but honestly, lose your life for a hike.
Slide ... an eagle incubating it’s eggs during yesterday’s snow storm in the Southern California Mountains. She moves around after the 2:00 minute point:

Love him as an actor. He’s been married a long time & has a pile of kids. Praying he & the others are found safe.
He was great as Vladimir Bierko on “24”
The Mountain
Spencer Tracey
Robert Wagner
Spencer’s part tried to warn him.
“Searched for”?
“Sought” is the correct usage.

.... The summit is expecting Temps in the low teens around 13 degrees. If ur not prepared for the weather not to mention the rugged conditions .... You simply won't make it. Also being 65 ... it doesnt improve his chances ..... Prayers up for Mr Sands and his hiking partner.
.
Bigfoot got him!
"A year and a half after the fall of civilization due to a viral outbreak, a former FBI agent is forced to protect a young woman immune to the disease from a dangerous gang leader hunting her."
Regards,
He left a very nice area called Calabasas https://www.travellens.co/best-things-to-do-in-calabasas-ca/ that has rolling hills with plenty of hiking to be done. No snow either.
He decides to go hiking in the winter in the mountains in an area that had killed two people that past month and 4 others had to be rescued. He has been missing 5 days. I bet he slipped and fell like the one that died that month when they fell 700ft. I wonder if he was even dressed for winter.
Skiers are known to disappear when the snow collapses by a tree. Snow that is many feet deep. They fall in and cannot climb out.
Come spring the animals will find him.
