I used to hike and backpack all over the mountains around L.A.: Baldy; Angeles Crest; Santa Monica Mountains; San Gabriel Mountains; San Bernardino Mountains; et als. That was many, many years ago (1960s).
It’s freezing up there.
Mr. GG2 grew up hiking and camping in those mountains as a kid. His Dad was LA county Sheriff’s deputy foothills division. In his teens Mr. GG2 was called in to track for them a few times. He says its really rugged.
