I thought you would have been happy that Trump’s Warp Speed on getting the vaccine was something you would give him credit for. Has his effort and the technology used to develop the virus, now making you willing to throw them under the bus?

Compared to other vaccines, the cost to produce the mRNA vaccine costs less money. The companies, Pfizer and Moderna, have saved us money. Development of the mRNA technology has taken about 25 years. Maybe after watching these videos with an open mind on the subject you will get a better appreciation for what it does and its future in medicine.

I now know why the number of people "jabbed" was important for you. I reported that only 30 percent were fully vaccinated. That figure was from something said on Fox. It was an error confusing the unvaccinated with the vaccinated. Sorry, that is very embarrassing for me to let happen. According to the CDC:

Number of people who have received the primary series (both doses) = 229,359,062 at 69.1%

That 69.1%, may not be enough for herd immunity. People may think that if people just get natural immunity and not bothering with the vaccine, it will be a natural way to achieve herd immunity. Right now, we have no idea what is needed to achieve herd immunity. I think attempts to reach herd immunity through exposing people to a virus are scientifically problematic and unethical. Letting COVID-19 spread through populations, of any age or health status will lead to unnecessary infections, suffering and death. People who do get infected can suffer harm that can lead to problems like cardiac arrest.

We are only beginning to understand the long-term health impacts among people who have had COVID-19, including what is being described as ‘Long COVID.’ My sister-in-law contracted a virus transmitted by ticks (Lyme Disease) and she suffered a brain clot in her brain. If it wasn't for the quick response of medical aid, she would have died at the age of 55. It took many doctors before she found one who knew how to treat her case and the long-term impact of Lyme Disease. COVID-19 is just as dangerous.
