Some occupations have a better reputation for honesty than others.
As Statista's Katharina Buchholz reports, Gallup examines the issue in a reoccurring poll showing that nurses are the most trusted professionals in the United States, followed by doctors and pharmacists.
They have actually topped the ranking for two decades and were regarded as highly honest and ethical by 79 percent of respondents in 2022, down from a coronavirus high of 89 percent in 2020.

Other than the healthcare sector, trusted professionals in the eyes of Americans also come from the fields of teaching, the judiciary and law enforcement, despite long-standing criticism of police behavior that came to a boil in the country in 2020.
Other professions that more people see positively than negatively are accountant, banker and real estate agent.
Public opinion flips for labor union leaders, lawyers, journalists and business executives, with skepticism towards these occupations prevailing.
Journalists were among the professions dropping the most in the ranking since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
At the very bottom of the list, members of Congress rub shoulders with those from professions traditionally considered untrustworthy, like car salespeople and telemarketers. 62 percent of respondents said Congresspeople had low standards of honesty and ethics.
Nurses and doctors? Really? After they helped assassinate hundreds of thousands of people over the last three years?
I try to hide the sneer on my face when I go see my doctor, but I don’t think I do a very good job.
Then don’t go see your doctor. It’s an opinion poll. It also shows that most Americans are not in agreement with a few people around here. Must be hard to be repudiated.
“It also shows that most Americans are not in agreement with a few people around here.”
And “most Americans” are dropping like flies, miscarrying babies, having heart attacks, etc., because they’re ignorant.
“Must be hard to be repudiated.”
I’m not repudiated. The opinion of ignorant sheep doesn’t repudiate me.
And phony “doctors” — gas or otherwise — can KMA.
“I do not trust the American Medical Association.”
Our medical industry is the third highest cause of death...
Yes indeed, as a matter of fact, you brought me and my wife home safely from ABQ Tuesday night! 🙏
That’s a real service of courage and heart.
Medicine started to move to corporate ownership about 40-50 years ago. Morality slipped away.
Actually, it wasn’t me. I did 20 years of controlling, but I am retired now. My son still flies. 👍😁
Agreed ... and certainly not the CDC and the WHO.
Although my confidence in the medical profession -- actually, medical industry -- has, to this very day and like many other rational people, eroded significantly and persistently since the end of the "two weeks to flatten the curve," it's not that I no longer trust and respect practicing medical professionals (e.g., doctors) for their expertise in doing what they do. It's that I no longer accept at face value what medical "experts" say and think; at least not without thorough research as I have heard far too many outright lies -- in some medical matters, damnable lies -- from these "experts" over the past three years!
Only when it is IFR.
The left claim that the ama did not reverse course, a d that they “never forbade the use of hcq in the first place. The truth is that they ran article after article slamming hcq and discouraging this use, along with other medical e titles which basically were the blueprint for the covid vax pushers used when denying doctors the right to use off label drugs for covid. Doctors lost their licenses because they espoused off label drugs like hcq. So for,the ama and ilk to claim thatnthey didn’t “forbid the use” is a 1/2 lie- they absolutrly, were the cause of the clampdown on docs that didn’t follow the vax protocol
I think too many people take prof3ssions like, that for granted, and don’t stop to think how Importent those jobs are- like,a lot of other jobs similar where controllers have huge responsibilities,on them that folks don’t realize. Things like water control- keeping drinking g water safe, and flowing to millions. We need a lot,of,trust in those folks too, but folks just don’t think about it much when they get a Glass of water.
A lot of,unsung heros in the world unfortunately. Tha k you and your fsmily for your services
that link in my post was a recap of a podcast by Rush Limbaugh at the time when the ama “tried to recant” and failed beczuse their proposal was rejected or some such thing according to the left.
Thank you kindly. 👍
Especially when it is IFR. Once in Vietnam, the field was less than PAR minimums. It wasn’t W0X0F, but not much better. I had a C-130 that had to land. I ran him down final, with PAR. Finally, he got the runway in sight and landed. Then he thanked me, and said I put him down on the runway center line. So, I thought to myself, of course I put you on the center line, cuz you did exactly what I told you to do, immediately when I told you to do it. We had good radar too. 🤗😅
I believe the number one profession represented in Congress is Lawyer.
I almost became a ATC back in the 80’s when I couldn’t get a job in the oil field. I had already taken the test and was scheduled to go to OKC for classes. But I opted for graduate school instead. I suppose I would still be sitting in a tower in Amarillo, Texas.
LOL - members of Congress last. And police officers more trusted than judges? That’s a surprise. Interesting post. Thanks.
Doctors and nurses are throwing it all away for a little ca$h
