Some occupations have a better reputation for honesty than others.
As Statista's Katharina Buchholz reports, Gallup examines the issue in a reoccurring poll showing that nurses are the most trusted professionals in the United States, followed by doctors and pharmacists.
They have actually topped the ranking for two decades and were regarded as highly honest and ethical by 79 percent of respondents in 2022, down from a coronavirus high of 89 percent in 2020.

Other than the healthcare sector, trusted professionals in the eyes of Americans also come from the fields of teaching, the judiciary and law enforcement, despite long-standing criticism of police behavior that came to a boil in the country in 2020.
Other professions that more people see positively than negatively are accountant, banker and real estate agent.
Public opinion flips for labor union leaders, lawyers, journalists and business executives, with skepticism towards these occupations prevailing.
Journalists were among the professions dropping the most in the ranking since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
At the very bottom of the list, members of Congress rub shoulders with those from professions traditionally considered untrustworthy, like car salespeople and telemarketers. 62 percent of respondents said Congresspeople had low standards of honesty and ethics.
Police officers? Really? Come on!
With the exception of one year, 2001, when firefighters were on the list after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, nurses have far outpaced all other professions since they were added to the list two decades ago.
I wonder why they excluded firefighters from this years list? Surely they would rate higher than some of the other professions on this list.
I do not trust the American Medical Association.
The AMA Quietly Admits They Lied About Hydroxychloroquine
AFTER all the damage was done and the pandemic was over!
woops forgot the link- here’s an exerpt too:
“RUSH: Iโm old enough to remember when hydroxychloroquine was a kook theory from a kook president. Now all of a sudden it is amazing the things that are happening after an election where this kook, this so-called kook, Donald Trump, has lost, allegedly lost. Now all of a sudden the AMA said โ although very quietly โ that hydroxychloroquine is okay. Itโs perfectly fine. Go ahead and use it if you want. It can be helpful.”

There is a lot of misplaced trust in that list.
I'm not sure I heard that one, but if they did, SOMEBODY ought to sue the hell out of Neil Cavuto and FOX NEWS. Especially if someone died because they listened to that F'ing anti-Trump idiot.
and at the very bottom i rate pollsters, like gallup. even lower than politicians.
That trust number for lawyers is way too high!
I wonder, if there was another outbreak of some kind and there was a vaccine and the government took the same approach, how many would get it? A lot would I know, but even compared with 6 months ago, I’ll bet the number that refused would be much higher. The “died unexpectedly” numbers can’t be completely hidden and as data comes out I think there is going to be an “Oh sh!t!” moment for many people.
“Labor union leader” is a profession? Seriously?
And I’m kinda surprised nurses would win this, I’d have figured for a lot of people they’d be lumped in with doctors/medical in general, who are definitely no longer trusted nearly as much as this survey says. Or was the data gathered before the two weeks (to flatten the curve) started?
Clearly propaganda. I trust farmers, gardeners, yardmen, tile man, painters, and grocery store employees. That’s about it.
Trusted to do what?
To do their job or to be honest with you?
What this list really measures are personal relationships. Most of us have nurses, doctors, teachers, and lawyers who have served us well in life and we would trust.
The less trusted are those we don’t meet much.
People have WAY too much faith in judges. They need to be near the bottom as the two tiered “justice” system we have clearly shows. Many of them are just corrupt partisan hacks.
Thatโs pretty low, but I am surprised that politicians are even THAT high on the respect list. I thought they would be lower.
How about air traffic controllers like me, and pilots like my son? ๐ค๐๐
๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐ Well, after all, they ARE lawyers, arenโt they?
No mention of engineers, pharmacists, farmers, construction workers?
