I closed my eyes and tried for a moment to guess what a mouse jiggler was. I was, however, wrong.
I’ve read stories about enterprising folks able to collect salaries simultaneously from multiple full time jobs while “working from home”.
So some are slackers and others are overachieving frauds LOL.
What a disappointment. I first read the title as “Mouse Jugglers”.
And I really wanted to see some juggling mice.
It sounds like their positions are useless. I’m remote, but I don’t need checking up on.
I design jobs alone. No me, no design. It’s all metric based with tolerance levels.
I think many corporate jobs are nonsense, just so they can hire minorities and skirts.
The funny thing is, if those working more than 1 job at home are doing adequate work, is it fraud? After all, if your capacity is far above 100% of what the job requires, how is the employer entitled to 100% of your effort? Are they paying extra for it? After all, these are the same employers who will outsource you or lay you off in a heartbeat.

I personally know a neighbor who is drawing a full time salary for “working at home” and is only actually putting in about 20 hrs work per week and goofing off the balance of the time.
But apparently fulfilling the obligations such that he’s not getting fired.
I knew a guy who’s company went on the “x number of steps a day” fitness trackers kick. Once a week he’d take it to Home Depot and put it in the paint shaker.
That's not a hack. That's an evasion of responsibility. If I were in charge, he'd be sooooo fired.

How would you know?
If some company’s processes are so loose in regards to measurement of employee ‘deliverables’ that a mouse-jiggler will be satisfactory, there are far bigger issues.

If you’ve got a room full of people doing the same job, the work will get done if most of them are plugging away, even if you have a few people like the one in the article who sets up the computer and then goes to the gym
The story I read about some huy working a couple of different jobs involved him subcontracting out the work he was tasked with to Chinese coders. He paid them peanuts, then turned it in as his own work.
