I tried to stay in Clay County and avoid Duval County…
Local guy news ping.
It’s nice seeing a good Florida man story.
HORSESH!T. Hendrix was a patriot who loved America, served in the military (although it was determined that that was not a suitable occupation for him), and expressed his love in that song.
His Star Spangled Banner rendition was not unpatriotic - it was the exact opposite. This writer is 180 degrees wrong.
He did a great job. It was nice to hear his patriotic version.
Second it's along the vein of Jimi Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner:
Jimi Hendrix - The Star Spangled Banner [ National Anthem ] ( Live at Woodstock 1969 )
Mullet? More like a receding hair line with “regular” long hair. We stumbled into a mullet meet up in Lake Tahoe a few years back. Now, THOSE were mullets. LOL!
So, how do you "shred" anything with a mallet? Oh, wait...
;^)
Being an old veteran, I appreciate the National Anthem when it’s played traditionally...The ONLY version I like that isn’t traditional is the one by the group “Madison Rising”...here it is:

Another great video of Madison Rising:
It's a dishonor to play the National Anthem at an NFL game.
I’m sorry, the National Anthem sounds perfect as it was originally written. Honor our heritage, imo.
I still had the sound turned down and his hair was so horrendous I had to look away
It was pathetic he needs to let go
Pretty awful. Not that he can’t play guitar... but that was not in any way a respectful rendition of the Start Spangled Banner. Indeed - it falls in the same category as some of the wild-run, improve vocal stylings by some performers that also remove the simplicity and honor the National Anthem deserves.
Foot - even the infamous Jimmy Hendrix version is more respectful than this.
The rock group Boston does an electronic guitar rendition w the whole band and it’s really good.
And here I am just wishing I could find a copy out there of B.J. Thomas singing the National Anthem during the Stars Stanley Cup finals back in 1999. Man had a voice...
Which is to say, ping to watch later. :)
