it is said that Hendrix played the anthem as a protest to the war in Vietnam, in a very unpatriotic fashion HORSESH!T. Hendrix was a patriot who loved America, served in the military (although it was determined that that was not a suitable occupation for him), and expressed his love in that song.
His Star Spangled Banner rendition was not unpatriotic - it was the exact opposite. This writer is 180 degrees wrong.

Mullet? More like a receding hair line with “regular” long hair. We stumbled into a mullet meet up in Lake Tahoe a few years back. Now, THOSE were mullets. LOL!

Being an old veteran, I appreciate the National Anthem when it’s played traditionally...The ONLY version I like that isn’t traditional is the one by the group “Madison Rising”...here it is:
