Where are the Intellectually Curious Doctors?
American Thinker ^ | 9 Jan, 2023 | Brian C. Joondeph, M.D.

Good medicine is asking questions and forming a differential diagnosis, ruling out possibilities based on science, not on politics.

Medicine, like most sciences, entails thinking and hypothesis creation to explain the myriad complexities of the healthy and diseased human body.

Hypotheses are tested and refined, with new information or insights nudging or abruptly shifting current knowledge in a new direction.

For examples, bloodletting with leeches is no longer standard medical practice for most ailments as it was up until the late 19th century. More recently, Vioxx was considered a safer painkiller, until it was found to cause heart attacks and strokes, similar to another “safe and effective” product introduced about two years ago. Oxycontin was marketed as a nonaddictive pain killer until it devasted hundreds of thousands of lives and families and was shown to be otherwise.

Physicians, upon medical school graduation, recite the Hippocratic Oath. Quoting from the revised version (simply because the language is easier to understand), physicians swear, “I will not be ashamed to say, ‘I know not’” and “Above all, I must not play at God.”

They are cowering after being threatened either directly or indirectly with the loss of their right to practice if they don’t push the agenda

Some will argue that the birth of HMOs, etc, brought about the big hospital corporations. With the corporations, came a lot of rules like doctors being given 15 minutes per patient.

Corporations brought about subservience.

Pretty soon, even doctors succumb to the life of showing up for work, doing what is asked, going home and getting paid. Nothing else.

Great picture with the article. This is what a bunch of ignorant, virtue-signalling jackasses looks like:

And to add….

During the covid nonsense, frontline doctors, the ones effectively treating people with alternative therapies were at risk of aging their licenses revoked because they questioned Fauci, et al.

Potentially losing your ability to pay the bills, for doing your job, is a pretty good motivator to STFU.

And now doctors have databases to turn to, just like ASE mechanics, that help diagnose and recommend treatment/medications.

All of that and then one guy lays all of the dirty sh*t that Pfizer did with their drugs.

Group-think provides protection from professional ‘cancellation’ and medical law suits. (what you reward you get more of).

Insanity isn’t just in environmental ‘science’ anymore.

On this subject...

Repentance

...Remember: as a general principle, organisms and systems often assume their greatest size just before they go extinct or fail...

For an example see the UK's NHS. The country's single largest employer is now holding its taxpayers and patients hostage.

Unless we restore our republic, that is our future.

“As a necessary disclaimer, I am not anti-vaccine, having received a full course of COVID vaccines two years ago. But as a physician, I am all about asking questions and challenging existing dogma when a new or better approach should at least be considered.”

These mRNA gene therapy Fauci juice injections are not vaccines! This doctor, too, is a lost cause.

Moreover this doctor puports to cite and discuss the Hippocratic Oath as if it is still a “thing”. The “First, do no harm.” part, the sine qua non of the oath, has already been vaporized/burned to the ground/[insert your favorite metaphor here]. The Hippocratic Oath is now “history”. It’s not pining for the fjords—it’s a dead parrot.

Why engage in naval-gazing chat about other parts of an already dead oath?

They are threatened with loss of job and income first by their employers, the big health care systems. Then, if they don’t toe the line, they are threatened by the licensing boards with loss of their profession.

I experienced this myself. Early in the pandemic, there was lots of information from many doctors about the benefits of Vit D, quercetin, zinc, etc. I asked my doctor what he thought of the emerging protocols. His reply was “Follow the CDC guidelines.” It was at that moment I knew what was really going on. He was either completely cowed by his health system employer, incurious or just plain intellectually lazy, none of which are good characteristics in a doctor.

The problem with the medical profession starts way back. All the doctors 50 or younger have been brought up under the tyranny of Political Correctness AND HMOs. By time raging Wokeness arrived they were ready to fall right into line, thanks to the brainwashing they’d been subjected to all their lives.

I worked for many years evaluating disability claims for a government agency. I looked at literally millions of medical reports, and pretty much-lost respect for most in the medical profession. It seemed to me that most doctors operate by guesswork and a prescription pad. If their first guess and the first round of prescriptions don’t work, they’re ready with a new guess and another prescription. Of course, there is always the never-ending round of “tests” that they have at their disposal, mostly used to run up the bill as high as possible.

The only medical types that can call themselves doctors are the ones that put their jobs and reputations on the line during the covid vax insanity, standing against the AMA and the political media for the sake of their patients.

They formed America’s Frontline Doctors.

These are the ONLY doctors you’d ever want working on you or a loved one.
