An amazingly positive update on Damar Hamlin Hamlin is reportedly now conscious and responsive.

It’s been over three days since Damar Hamlin had to be resuscitated on the field inside Paycor Stadium and was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and the Buffalo Bills safety is making wonderful progress.

Per the Bills and teammate Kaiir Elam, Hamlin has demonstrated that he is neurologically intact, his lungs are healing, and he’s even been awake.

Former Cincinnati Bengals beat writer Coley Harvey, who’s been covering Hamlin’s condition at UCMC, reports that Hamlin has also been holding hands with family members.

Coley Harvey @ColeyHarvey · Follow Can confirm Damar Hamlin has been gripping the hands of his family members. Also told we will hear nothing from the family at the moment as they are still processing these developments. 9:58 AM · Jan 5, 2023

While Hamlin is still critically ill, these updates and steps of progress are incredible for someone who’s been sedated for the better part of a week now. On another positive note, Hamlin’s toy drive GoFundMe is now at over $7 million in donations, which is *calculates* 2,800 times larger than the original goal of $2,500 set in 2020.

We’ll keep you updated throughout Hamlin’s ongoing recovery.

Great news.

The sports narrative has now turned to gushing about how great the NFL and Bills are for their quick handling of his situation, complete with advocacy for more CPR training—without so much as a whisper about the very good chances that this event was precipitated by the league and teams pushing the jabs on the players. The Bills were especially bad about forcing/shaming it on their players.

Interesting there is no mention of his heart condition? Does he have myocarditis?

I think he needs to be medically retired. I never watch football, but saw a clip of his wonderful work and huge contributions to children’s charities. Wonderful guy could do a lot of good in this world.

Done! The NFL’s already said they’ll take care of him forever. Even tho he hasn’t played the 3 years necessary for dedicated benefits. But the story above says his lungs are healing. Tell me again what happened to his lungs? Unless the quacks damaged them shoving hoses down?

This is 3 days in. If he is going to rally it would be now. I’m still wondering why the ambulance didn’t have lights on. Our local guys don’t use lights if the carcass is already dead. Might explain the team mates reactions.

Sept 2021 saw us finally crossing Judas Priest off of the concert bucket list here at Louder than Life festival, Louisville KY. During their last song, Painkiller, guitarist Rickie Faulkner suffered an aortic aneurysm. They rushed him to Rudd Heart & Lung Center just a few miles away, he had a 10 1/2 hr surgery to fix everything up, and since then he's rejoined the band on stage touring. Absolutely mind-blowing. This festival used to be at another location closer to the Ohio River but after it got cancelled due to floods in 2018, it got moved to its current location. I'm convinced that its prime location (easier to get in and out of plus it's maybe 5 miles from downtown and a cluster of hospitals) and the quick actions of the first responders/hospital staff saved his life.

What? I’m just concerned he might get COVID in his compromised state. Can’t be too safe.

Yeah..which makes it so hard to believe he survived. The only thing I can think of since I know nothing about forensics is that there was enough snow to cushion him as he went down by the force of the machine...versus if it had rolled on him on a dry clean road.
