On the menu today: I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it appears someone is attacking the electrical power grid of the Seattle area, which comes after a series of similar incidents elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest as well as in Florida. And the FBI never caught the guy who attacked the electrical grid down in North Carolina earlier this month. Shooting up a power substation is apparently the latest fad.
Electric Boogaloo
Picture it: It’s Christmas, you’re about to prepare a big meal for the whole family, and the power goes out — all the lights, the refrigerator, your computer and cellphone charger, the works. That happened this year for a lot of families in the Seattle area, but it wasn’t wind, snow, or bad weather; someone shot up their local power substation.
The initial Pierce County Sheriff’s Department public statement was . . . curious:
Today at 05:26 am we received a call of a burglary to the Tacoma Public Utilities Substation at 22312 46th Ave E.
Deputies arrived on scene and saw there was forced entry into the fenced area. Nothing had been taken from the substation, but the suspect vandalized the equipment causing a power outage in the area.
Deputies were notified of a second burglary to the TPU substation at 8820 224th St E which also had forced entry with damage to the equipment. Nothing was taken from this site either.
At 11:25 we were notified by Puget Sound Energy that they too had a power outage this morning at 02:39 am. Deputies are currently on scene at this facility where the fenced area was broken into and the equipment vandalized.
At this time deputies are conducting the initial investigation. We do not have any suspects...

I agree, and they probably know that.
I also wouldn’t state details on an open source website...
Antifa or one of our agencies.
I see the “Shooting Up” script in several of these “articles”. Though I think most have been break ins and such.
Looking for “Electric Boogaloo” to be showing up in more.
Got to push the “Far Right Domestic Terrorist®” angle.
> “It’s Deep State.”
This term is nebulous as in “cloudy”, and it needs data.
Yes, I agree it’s something inside and tied to government and organizations feeding off government such as colleges.
I know firsthand of young college professors who were Antifa paramilitaries, as well as some postal workers.
But saying “”Deep State” or “Antifa” tells us what we already know and gets us nowhere.
What we need is an internet scrapbook (IBOOK) of names and faces, and last known whereabouts without accusation. A section of confirmed Antifa can be appended.
Facial recognition can be considered.
Individuals in the IBOOK can come forward, question, challenge their inclusion. However, people who witness fires, substation damage, agricultural destruction, and so on, those witnesses can find the IBOOK and independently match/identify people they witnessed doing the crime.
The IBOOK itself will make no comments or accusations.
The IBOOK can serve as a public repository for researchers on Antifa. If woke lawyers bring lawfare in defamation form, the lawyers can be put in the IBOOK as well, as their appearance de facto exposes their association. The IBOOK model will frustrate them from making a case against it.
At this point, we shouldn’t be intimidated if the IBOOK seems like the Joseph McCarthy Red Scare. Law abiding Americans are allowed to organize and defend themselves and their communities. The IBOOK is a tool of defense.
Law enforcement should have already a form of IBOOK but their records will likely be under seal as their investigations require.
The public IBOOK discussed above would be an asset to eye-witness bystanders of Antifa-like hit and runs. It’s existence could make the new Obama-inspired Weather Underground think twice before acting.
FBI Agents. They will pin it on Trump supporters.
If these “attacks” nock out power for only a short time, it was probably a protest or demonstration/trial run.
A serious attack by knowledgeable or professional people would be worse.
The gratuitous references to white nationalists or “...recent disruptions of LGBTQ+ events across the nation by domestic extremists” should gag a maggot! But, even more moronic are the references to Russia and China seeking to right wrongs. I mean, how stupid is that? When the level of intellect is that low among the journalism community and so-called law enforcement; folks, you really know you’re on your own!
I have always thought I would be one of those who clung to our government as an agent of good long after everyone else had come to the logical conclusions.
This particular situation (the silence of elected officials on this particular matter) was simply another brick broken out of the wall for me.
And I hate that I feel this way. Just hate it.
I think the student visa types are the smart ones, capable of organization and planning. The ones coming up thru the border are the muscle types who are probably not that smart but are true believers who would no problem blowing themselves up and killing anyone in their path.
Think about 9/11 Muhammed Atta was an engineering student, most of the others were goons meant to hurt anyone who challenged them.
Much Ado About Nothing
The pierce county stuff is most likely meth heads looking to steal copper.
The previous incident could have been anything, but there is certainly no evidence of any connection to pierce county.
The news coverage seems like it is designed to encourage copycats
Read “a thousand balls of flame”, written by dmitry orlov back around 2015. Describes scenarios short of “going nuclear”. They may be trying to make the attacks proportional to attacks against the rodina.
Rather than try to figure out who is doing this I am prepping for when “they” shoot up one near me and I end up in the dark for a week or so. Or more importantly what happens if this is a coordinated effort and the whole eastern side of the US is made dark?
I have food stocks, ammo and a generator with plenty of gasoline.
Some call me a conspiracy nut but I’m seeing these as more exploratory for something bigger.
Having to believe your own eyes and ears and awakening to the fact that nothing was as you thought or wanted to be is ugly.
It is also enlightening.
Who? Could be CCP, TVA, Democrats, or a combo of all of them.
I think you have a wise plan.
I’ve not seen anything about what damage was caused to the West coast substations except a fire at one substation. The East Coast ones were shot up.
It’s an open secret.
Articles have been published in major media that the grid is vulnerable
Government officials have spoken about it. They formed a government agency that is supposedly doing something about it.
I haven’t seen any movement to do anything about it other than the software vulnerabilities.
No I would never give out details on the web about how to go about it.
And I certainly not silly enough to go looking for the info myself on the web.
I would hope that government spooks watching websites with that info for people researching it.
This is far more problematic than first glance. If the transformers are being targeted, there is literally a two year backlog and wait for new transformers to be built by virtually every supplier. And since they are sized for the substation, there’s no spares sitting on the shelf.
True. I would rather have my eyes open and be distressed, than to have them closed and be content, that is for sure.
