WHO IS THIS MAN?! FIRST TIME HEARING! Roy Clark - Malaguena | REACTION
YouTube ^ | July 2022 | Da Real Dogg

Posted on 12/27/2022 8:17:14 PM PST by Fai Mao

A Rap DJ is blown away by Roy Clark's skill on the guitar. He has since become a huge Roy Clark Fan.

Indicative of nothing except perhaps there is hope for this world after all.

guess he doesn’t listen to much American country music. Roy is legendary among all of us guitarists.

Before my injuries, I was a classical guitar performance major in college. Occasionally people, mostly parents, would ask me who their kids should watch to learn proper form on the guitar. They were shocked when I said, Carlos Santana, Roy Clark and Glen Campbell. Classical guitar guys don’t make appearances on TV.

Roy and Buck....the hosts of Hee Haw. The country version of Laugh In that was mocked but outlasted it by a country mile or more.

Roy Clark is so under-appreciated by casual music listeners…until they take the time to listen to him! The Hee-Haw gig didn’t help with that, unless they really paid attention one of the great masters of all time.

Buck Owens was a huge influence on music. He laid the ground for Country Rock, and bands like The Eagles.

I hated Hee-Haw, and Country music in general as a kid. But as I got older I’ve really grown to appreciate the great country artists of that era.

But Bro Country sucks. ‘Bad Rock With A Fiddle’, as Tom Petty called it.

My dad grew up in NYC. Washington Heights. Watched Hee-Haw all the time. Growing up in NJ we just thought our dad was nuts.

When Roy Clark came on we were all glued to the TV. That dude was country Eddie Van Halen or Jimmie Hendrix.

Who cares what some urban gibsmedat thinks about real music?

Maybe get his take on Beethoven’ 9th next?

Got to be real popular in the inner cities.

I think Vince Gill has tremendous talent as well.

There are some players that know no bounds.
