TAMPA, Fla. - Police arrested a suspect who they said was caught on security cameras threatening workers at a Burger King restaurant in South Tampa on Friday.
Tampa police said the incident happened around 5:30 p.m., when 50-year-old Hubert Credit Jr. walked into the restaurant, located at 611 S Dale Mabry Highway, and demanded free food from employees.
According to investigators, when workers refused to give in to his demands, Credit pulled a pair of pliers from his pocket and started threatening the employees.
Security cameras from inside the restaurant showed Credit banging the pliers on the counter before knocking over one of the cash registers. He then could be seen on the video jumping on top of the service counter, where authorities said he continued threatening the workers.
"In fear, a restaurant manager discreetly notified a citizen in the drive-through lane with her radio headset that they were in danger and to call 911," police said.
The manager was forced to give Credit free food, according to investigators.
When Tampa police officers arrived at the scene, they located Credit eating his food in the men's bathroom.
After officers gave him commands to exit the stall, police said the suspect complied and was taken into custody.
Credit was arrested for robbery with a deadly weapon.
Police said no employees or officers were injured during the incident.
Where did he get the food?
Certainly not from Burger King..............

LoL. Ok, it identified as food. And in America, that is good enough.
From the narrative it would seem likely Mr. Credit is a narcotics addict or he has some sort of neurological deficit. Retreating to the men’s room to devour his Burger King instead of just bailing,is a pretty good indication this is some one not of sound mind.
Trying to visualize how a pair of pliers qualifies as a deadly weapon…
The good news is that he was sober during the Christmas holiday.

Yep, what kind of mindset is that, to steal food and stay on the premises to eat it. Yes, he has issues
Saturday night was "Soul Night" and the customers were 98% black. It was a battle all night long as customer after customer harassed the kitchen staff to get free food. Tips were terrible from what I heard from the bar staff and several bartenders quit during my year there - just because of "Soul Night."
Oh - this was on a military base so Saturday night customers were the same economically as the Friday night customers.
He was going to pay on Tuesday.
