Is YOUR new Christmas gadget actually from a Congolese cobalt slave mine? Harvard professor tells Joe Rogan 'every phone, tablet, laptop and electric vehicle' built relies on inhumane Chinese-controlled mines

A Harvard professor and author stunned podcast host Joe Rogan by telling him that almost every lithium battery-powered tech device relied on today by the western world is powered by slavery in cobalt mines in the Congo.

Siddharth Kara, the author of the book Cobalt Red: How The Blood of The Congo Powers Our Lives, insists there is no such thing as 'clean cobalt' - the term given to describe ethically mined cobalt.

Appearing on Joe Rogan's podcast earlier this week, he told the Spotify host that in fact, almost every single device used today that relies on a lithium battery is powered by slavery.

I do not see any movement from the social justice warriors for non-slave batteries. William Wilberforce and his anti-slavery movement called for boycotts of sugar produced by slaves. Pretty obvious the Western Left does not give a damn about what is happening in Sub-Saharan Africans.

The Western Left cares about rigged "elections" and Power By Any Means Necessary.

All the rest is just window dressing.

People here have spoken at length about Chinese
influence in Africa for many years.

Africans wanted white people to leave, so most left.
Good luck…

What? The tiny lithium batteries that power our phones, computers, alarms, etc don’t use a special “no slave labor” cobalt? You mean they are the very same lithium cells that are in EVs?

I’m shocked, I tell you!

“I do not see any movement from the social justice warriors for non-slave batteries.”

Two reasons for their silence on this issue:

1. There isn’t any money in it for them. The corporate and NGO sponsors won’t finance or support SJW protests and riots on behalf of the miners since doing so would have a negative impact on their profit margins.

2. Taking action against this particular form of modern day slavery would create a financial burden for SJWs by tripling or quadrupling the cost of their cell phones, tablets, computers, flat screen tvs, EVs, etc.

SJWs and their sponsors like to be viewed as conscientious, noble and altruistic as long as it doesn’t impact them personally ($$$$).

A general view of artisanal miners working at the Shabara artisanal mine near Kolwezi on October 12, 2022. Kara said he had never seen a mine where child labor and slavery weren't present

"Artisanal mines"??? Do you get your cobalt at the local bakery? I hope those kids appreciate that they are true "artisans."

The Congolese had decades to "recover" from the "horrors" of colonization. You know, that time when they were brought from the stone age into the modern era.

For some reason (we are not allowed to speak of) they have decided to allow themselves to be recolonized by a country that is more brutal than any fantasy dreamt up about the Belgians.

I guess I should feel sorry for the children, but evidently the Congolese parents and government officials don't seem to care at all about their children, so why should I?

I axed Siri if she was from a Congolese cobalt slave mine.

She keep sayin’: “I don’t understand your question.”

That is proof that she is from a Congolese cobalt slave mine.

Harvard professor: 'every phone, tablet, laptop and electric vehicle' built relies on inhumane Chinese-controlled mines

Gee whiz, every Harvard Professor knows that only White People can be Racist, Chinese People are never Racist so it can't be Inhumane Chinese.

It must be a disagreement among blacks as to who's Boss and who works the Inhuman Mine.

If the Mine would just be Humane, then everybody could just get along, as Great black Philosophers regularly assert.

We must all join together in opposing Mine Inhumanity as we did with Gun Violence.

The Left only sees and emphasizes what it wants in pursuit of absolute power. The have no souls; women in Afghanistan, pedophilia in the White House, collusion with war criminals, none matter in the pursuit of evil.

Canada has 220,000 tonnes of Cobalt deposits. Russia has 250K, Philippines has 260K. Cuba 500K and Australia 1.4 million tonnes.

None of those are as large as Congo's 3.6 million tonnes, but you can't tell me there aren't other options.
