Some families in the U.S. are taking to social media to share their dislike for Santa Claus.
Like Sierra McKenzie, who has three children aged three weeks to three years and went on TikTok to exclaim why she is against Jolly Old Saint Nick.
McKenzie, 23, had more to say. “Telling kids that Santa is real is a lie, and I don’t believe in building my kids up on a lie,” McKenzie, who hails from North Dakota, told The New York Post.
“Your kids can still enjoy the magic of Christmas without believing in Santa,” she said, adding that the presents under her tree will be marked “From: Mom and Dad,” according to the Post.
McKenzie says she doesn’t tell her kids Santa “sees you when your sleeping” or any of that. She says he’s a made up character.
Must make for awkward conversations with their friends.
“The magic of Christmas shouldn’t be built up on Santa,” McKenzie told the Post. “It’s about the gift of giving to one another.”
The Post pointed out that the hashtag #SantaIsntReal on TikTok has garnered more than 14 million views with other parents ripping Santa and saying they won’t play ball with the traditional beliefs about him.
“I don’t want to scare my children into thinking that they have to behave a certain way or that they were more ‘naughty or nice,’ than another child based on Christmas gifts,” said Chloe Amelle, 24, a mom of two and parenting influencer from southern Utah.
Apparently telling kids Santa isn’t real is a form of something called “gentle parenting.”
Very good.
(But the ‘wokeists’ might think that making a child at all responsible would be a sort of slavery...)
propagandist?
DingDing Ding. Winner!
Bet you’re a lot of fun at parties.

Your own words. I really don’t need to add anything.
If your OK with your version of Biblical “fables” then I guess it’s no wonder you have no problem with the “doctrine of santa”
Not sure what you refer to as a Bible, but here’s what mine says about “fables”
2 Peter 1:16
King James Version
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
1 Timothy 1:4
King James Version
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1 Timothy 4:7
King James Version
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
2 Timothy 4:4
King James Version
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Titus 1:14
King James Version
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

My Eternal concern is not about fables, lies, or parties.
It’s about being obedient to the One who delivered my soul from hell.
Cue Arlo Guthrie’s
Santa Claus wears a Red Suit, must be a communist. And a beard and long hair, Must be a pacifist. What’s in that pipe that he’s smoking?
Mother of The Year, Sierra McKenzie.
“There can be only one!”
Easy there, pilgrim. You need some spiked eggnog.
Exhibit B....

Because I take a stand for Jesus over filling my children’s heads with religious fables/lies?
I refuse to worship at the feet of a fable.
Well, if you want to believe that Jonah was really in the belly of a ‘whale’ for days, that Noah fed all those animals for all those days, and all the other stories in the Bible, then go for it.
Some of us take the lessons; and Santa, as the tradition has come down to us, is a STORY, and a great lesson in kindness, generosity, and all sorts of values that Jesus taught.
But it might require that you got the stick out of your ....oh, never mind.
I don’t think I’d want to see one of their heads cut off...
Cute family.
I guess the Word of God is nothing but fables to you eh?
To bad you don’t defend the God of creation like you do the god of this world. Your choice!
I repeat myself...
2 Timothy 4:4

I guess I’m damned to hell.
Merry Christmas! And I hope Santa brings you something nice.
Gentle parenting sounds like a load of tripe but I see no reason to tell kids “Santa is Real”. Sanka is also not real. :)

Your words, your choice.
For me, the Word of God is Truth. And I will stand one day before the King of kings, and Lord of lords believing that.
It’s your choice on what you chose to believe, but know this,
Philippians 2:11
King James Version
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Not at all. Santa Claus is a JudeoChristian derivative of a Catholic saint. We can agree on that much? And i am raised Lutheran.
No one that I know is worshipping Santa. To many, he’s obviously a kind crazy fat man in a red suit with flying reindeer.
Jesus is the reason for the season, absolutely. But as a Christian agent, St Nick, Americanized to Santa Claus, is a simple way to let children learn giving and kindness are good spirits to have in your heart. And that bit of kindness may keep them from being unreformed Scrooges.
Time for a Hallelujah chorus. Seriously, yes. Merry Christmas. Really.
I am certain that Jesus has a sense of humor. I know that God laughs whenever i make plans and He changes them.
Sounds like a foreigner. Let psychologists control Christmas? Not on your life! Their expertise is fags and trannies and sickos. They know nothing about children.
Tell the kids not only about Santa Claus, but tell the kids about the Krampus for good measure!
