Actor Faizon Love has lashed out at the notion that black people in California will be given $223,000 in reparations, saying that the money will only be used to purchase luxury cars.
Love, 54, made the eye-opening response in an interview with YouTube channel Vlad TV as the debate over reparations for slavery in the Golden State continues.
The Meteor Man star said: 'F*** that. That's another trick man, because that money's gonna go right back to Cadillac and right back to [Mercedes] Benz.'
The chair of the task force handling the reparations issue, Kamilah V. Moore, said in an interview Tuesday that the $223,000 figure being reported was not simply the amount of money that would be handed out but represented the state of California's 'maximum culpability' per person.
She also criticized the fact that reparations only apply to any persons who faced housing discrimination between 1933-1972 and not just black people.
In reference to black people receiving $223,000, actor Faizon Love said: ''F*** that. That's another trick man, because that money's gonna go right back to Cadillac and right back to [Mercedes] Benz.'

Love is known for his controversial remarks, in 2014 and 2015 he was criticized for his wide-ranging support of Bill Cosby in the wake of the dozens of sexual assault allegations levied at the elderly comedian.
In one tweet, Love referred to black people who believe the accusations as 'spineless monkeys.'

That’s racist.
His picture smells like cholesterol and diabetes…
I disagree. It won’t all go to luxury car companies. Nike will come out with a $223,000 luxury sneaker, and they will sell every one of them to the gold toofises crowd.
He was great in The Replacements.
Lorenzo in the Benzo. That money would last less than a week in most cases.
He’s not necessarily wrong. If the asinine “reparations” windfall really does come into being, I’d imagine that most recipients would behave much like lottery winners and blow it all in 12-24 months on vehicles, luxury goods, vacations, etc. Only some tiny percentage would likely use it for something productive like starting a small business or paying down a mortgage.
in other words, he is saying blacks aren’t smart enough to save or use the money wisely...
I suspect that he knows whereof he speaks.
The weaves will be awesome!
Back in the late 80’s or early 90’s there was a bunch of talk about reparations and it was for all negroes and a substantial amount.
My wife worked with a shiftless, lazy negro woman who had two kids and she was waltzing around their office talking about how she was getting it all, including the children’s payments and actually creating a huge shopping list of expensive stuff to buy.
I’m not sure who wrote or said it but someone somewhere said that if the reparations happened all that money would be back in the hands of Caucasians and their companies within two years.
I have said this forever. Give them money as it will go right back to white scammers and others selling shiny objects. People who do not handle money well will lose it quickly. In 1-2 years the reparations recipients will be complaining that they need MORE.
All of his money would be going to Popeyes and Red Lobster.
LOL.
I will happily pay reparations to anyone who was ever my slave. I will not pay reparations to anyone just because some of their ancestors were someone else’s ancestors’ slaves.
Reparation payments could be a good compromise if it includes forfeiting their US citizenship and a one-way ticket back to Africa.
It seems the left is pushing us toward all out race war.
A year later 75% (or more) would be right back where they started with almost nothing of value to show for it. like they say: Fast women and slow horses cost a lot of money.
