Legislators generally make mediocre to poor presidents as your list aptly demonstrates. It’s an executive position and governor is a far better preparation. Reagan said something to that effect.

When did you ever pay for an abortion? Under the Hyde Amendment government funds are not allowed to be used for that purpose.

It’s off topic but the Hyde Amendment only prevents “direct” federal funding of abortion. Tax dollars are used to fund some abortions directly and indirectly.
Y’all missed my point entirely. Your reaction would be radically different if DeSantis or some other politician created cards depicting themselves as a super-hero.

I think Trump does some stupid things, and I’m not excusing them. I look past that at the man and find him to be a true fighter for causes I believe in. It’s as simple as that.
As for DeSantis, I think he shows much promise. Had he produced or promoted DeSantis super hero cards, my response would be the same, a stupid move but his choice.
Look, i realize the Trump fart sniffing brigade is going to hang on till the bitter end, but if you REALLY think this is going to help him gain votes and win in 2024, i highly encourage you to back away from the bong and go take a walk to clear your head.

I know it was frustrating watching Trump’s handpicked candidates in swing states go down in flames, put putting your fingers in your ears and pretending it didn’t happen isn’t going to help.
