The Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Cole Beasley are reuniting after Beasley retired earlier on in the season.
Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network announced Tuesday on Twitter that Beasley will begin on Buffalo’s practice squad and then will likely move to their main roster in “short order.”
Beasley abruptly retired back in October as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to “be a full-time dad and husband,” according to his agents, Justin and Joel Turner.
Beasley’s change of mind to come back to play will hugely benefit Buffalo’s offense. Beasley is a very reliable slot receiver that is great at moving the chains for first downs. He has been one of the best receivers over the last decade due to how flawless his route running skills are. Somehow, someway he always finds a way to get open.
Prior to his signing, Buffalo’s offense was already rolling with ease. The Bills’ offense ranks second in the National Football League in yards per game and fourth overall in total points scored, according to ESPN.
In my opinion, it will be hard for opposing defenses come playoff time to cover and stop this Bills’ offense made up of Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Dawson Knox, Beasley and others. There are so many targets on the field for quarterback Josh Allen to work with. I think defenses in the postseason will have their hands full trying to shut them down due to how stacked with talent the team is.
Beasley coming out of retirement tells me that he’s hungry to win his first Super Bowl title. With how good this Bills’ offense is looking, this could very well be the season they break through and finally win it all.
NFL PING!............
Beasley got hammered the past two season because he refused to get vaxxed- i hope he kicks butt!
Is this the guy who was catching crap about not vaccinating?
Bills’ Cole Beasley, Reid Ferguson buying unvaccinated fans tickets to road games
“Some Buffalo Bills fans who decline to get vaccinated against Covid-19 and are therefore no longer allowed to attend home games at Highmark Stadium are now planning to go to a road game instead.
And some players are buying them tickets.”
He’s also a former Dallas Cowboy, but he burned that bridge.............
Yes....................
Too bad- for the Cowboys, who were so desperate for a WR they almost signed OBJ
Thanks.
Bills should apologize to him. Beasley was right about the vax.
I don’t think the Bills’ coaches, per se, wanted to discipline him, but the NFL probably were being political NAZIS - again.
They got T.Y. Hilton.................
I can’t wait to see Mayer Hawthorn take on Aaron Rodgers this coming Monday Night!
Forgot to add that Aaron has been a vocal Anti-Vaxxer, too.
and his bad back
gawd I was dreading OBJ becoming a Cowboy ... just what they need, a self-centric drama-queen who has probably lost a step or two. One wonders WTF is wrong with JJ and some of his player picks ...
His idiot son................
What will the Bills have to pay to the Buccaneers?
GO BILLS!
He ‘retired’ from the Bucs, rather than get vaxxed............
The league ended COVID protocols before the season. I doubt they would have signed a vocal vaccine skeptic if they intended to try and coerce him into getting it after the league stopped caring.
